Morning everyone.

so I’ve been reading about in the forums looking at different topics trying to find the best settings for the r3.
So a little break down for me I play on ps5 in the uk but I try and connect to different serves to get away from all the sweats and try hards 😂

I’m very new to the r3 and gaming routers in general I’ve watched videos on YouTube aswell but they haven’t seem to help me!

what do people suggest the best r3 settings are in the actually internet settings tab at the bottom? And then does anyone change anything on the ps5 like the ip address or there dns primary and secondary need to be the same as the r3 things like this going into details? So I’d like some help going in dept with my actually internet settings and what’s best ext.

I know the geo filter is hit and miss sometimes with me I’ve got multiple place marked but sometimes it goes out of them places cause it’s hard to connect I know until the vpn comes in it will make it easier.

also if I’m playing with friends and I’m hosting do I need to add them to the server so we can play cause sometimes it takes ages to find a game so I usually give up and try to connect to closer server which I don’t want ?  Added some pictures of things I want more information on? Also my speeds I should be getting is around 150mbs on the advanced setting should I bring this down to like 70% any help would be appreciated

id like to walk through it with someone

Hello. I think u must try Google 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 dns or cloudflare 1111/1.0.0.1 in my opinion.

In geo-filter you will based in uk and trying near your base location to sta close to the servers. If u go in usa or Afrika region u probably may have higher ping higher instability. Wait the opinion of an admin to contact you. This is my opinion

Hi,
You must activate strict mode! Also completely restart your PS5 after any change to the Geo-Filter because the configuration "sometimes" remains in the console or game cache.

for DNS you can test on your pc to ping the ip from the dns server.

1.1.1.1 is not the fastest for me 🙂

And R3 und PS5 you can find in the Forum, some people have issues with NAT Typ 🙂

Steady Ping make a higher Ping.... but stable without spikes. (i dont test it)

You don't need to change any internet/IP options, they won't make a difference. As above you'll need to have Strict Mode enabled to get games within your radius. Your Geo-Filter map is...interesting, it's very unlikely you'll get very far away servers if you're also covering an area closer to you.

Does strict mode bypass Ping assist? I mean If I set ping assist to 50ms, would I connect to a 49ms server even if its outside my geofilter radius with strict mode enabled?

Ping assist bypasses strict mode. If you have a value set for ping assist that isn't zero (Ping Assist Off) the geofilter will not block servers outside of your radius with that ping value or range. I hope this makes sense.

Exactly as above, Ping Assist is essentially an option that allows you to not miss out on any servers if they're low ping/below the value you set, regardless of where they are
