DARKNESS
@TorkildIt never been on sale to add your ping can be higher do to steady ping if you don't like it then disable it though it does overall improve your connection I would also do the following Set CC to Always Disable GeoLatency Set UP CC Properly Have Gaming as #1 under SMART BOOST

Torkild
Seem to be on a great discount now https://netduma.com/order/netduma-r3/ 166 vs 208 .. will check my order later .. maybe i jumped the gun here.. Set CC to Always CC= congestion Control right? That is set to always Disable GeoLatency<- This i couldn't do. Where can I change this? And it seems it's not working with BF2042.. Game running ping is 60 + (which is insane, i normally on 25-26ms ) and geofilter shows no active game. Have Gaming as #1 under SMART BOOST <- This is the way its default setup. Set UP CC Properly<- This is done automatically , but i used the expert and best "full test" As you can see here: I don't know where it does the test from, but i never seen a ping on any test site as high is 200 ms (which it shows here!) DARKNESS
@TorkildWell that not going to be noticeable it something only noticeable like in VOIP like games and or phone call/telecommunication services refereeing to the 200ms
Mobel
The 200ms is when the ping is under load Torkild
Torkild
@DARKNESS Thank you! I disabled it now. Just tried to game while maxing out the download by downloading a game from Steam.. Download used 90-99 Mbs out of a 105 max.. Game felt totally unaffected with ping (doh higher then i use to) staying in the 33-38 ms range . So i guess it works. I changed my topic. Thanx for the help. Do i need to do any other thing with my Ping optimizer?
Yoda
From the screenshots you have the Congestion Controls set to 99% for both. Even though you have it on always. It's still at pretty much 100%. I play BF a lot. Smart Boost will increase your ping in game. I went from 26ms to 40ms but the numbers don't matter it's how it feels in game without the lag spikes. If Smart Boost isn't working for you can turn it off and the ping should go down.
Torkild
@Yoda That's the what automatic setup, set it up to. Old times it was like 70%, but I thought that this might have changed now...
Yoda
Have you tried 70% to see if that helps? Hopefully that will stop it jumping around so much. Ping optimizer, I believe, is being looked into at the moment. Some users cannot use it currently at all for example. Perhaps the R3 had a glitch and just ramped everything back up. Adjust the slider(s), keeping always on, and do a couple of speed test to see if it's limiting your speed accordingly. Some speed test sites have jitter information as well as your speeds. If you weren't aware that 70% was the sweet spot for yours then most people knock off 5-10% at a time on the download/up and retest to find the sweet spot. Just a temp solution until you get Ping Optimizer sorted. Pop back into a game and try.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 23, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 23, 2023 It looks like everyone has helped you on this, any issues you're still having? Regarding the sale, it's been the same launch discount since we announced the router for pre-orders and hasn't changed at all since then. There is also no one working other than me and I definitely didn't change anything on the main website. Torkild and Fairypusher 1
