Hello @Chr

Do you happen to have Geo Latency Enabled?

If you do try to disable that and see if that helps!

@Netduma Fraser will be back tomorrow to further assist you if your still having issues..

Thanks!

Zippy.

thanks for help!! I figured it out it seemed that Steady Ping was on and was conflicting but turned it off and all good now.

Edit: After 3 games it seemed to put me right outside the radius to another nearby server.

One of the devs had tried to assist me via AnyDesk. He told me that he doesn't know what can be done to fix this issue. He said he will try replicate it and let me know on how to fix it. The most disappointing answer I've heard coming from spending +200 dollar on a router.

As @Zippy suggested disable geo latency, that should help. You should be fine to reenable steady Ping if you want as that shouldn't cause servers outside your radius

Try this:

  • Disable GeoLatency
  • Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0)
  • Enable Strict Mode
  • Disable Fast Search

Then, restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game) or if that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and try again please. See if that is more stable for you.

Ho impostato la bolla/cerchio del filtro geografico su un server, ma sembra che mi connetta costantemente a server al di fuori del raggio.

Gioco Modern Warfare III

The same thing happened to me, now I will try the solution expressed in this argument by Fraser. Thank you

@Netduma FraserI think this has become a bit problem for you guys so I suggest to have GeoLatency disabled by default instead of enabled by default since clearly most users are encountering this issue and don't have much knowledge as to why it happening to them.

I do have an update that may help, once it's been tested a little I can provide it to people with any Geo issues.

Yes, all good now after a little two hour session. Seems the issue was Geo-Latency. Thanks for the help!

That's great to hear, thanks for the update! I do have a version with some improvements for it if you'd like to test it with it enabled again?

Same here. I have geofilter for EU but it put me on US servers. MW3.

That has never happened before. Its like the filter is inverted and doesnt connect at all to my prefered region.

Do the steps I posted above and that should get you sorted

By doing what you said above you don't get what the filter was created for, the pings are low in the game except for 1 or two which are generally very different (in the order of 100 ms fluctuating, perhaps because they have a connection WI-Fi or a VPN). Furthermore, the feeling that the players are not from the limited area, but external and this is because it is not possible to completely isolate the server on which you want to play, in fact I always have to leave not only my closest server (Milan) but also the external server in Ireland otherwise the Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 game will not start. Also last night before going to bed I unchecked IPV6 and today when I tried to play the connection was interrupted, the DHCP seemed dead even after setting the static and restoring IPV6, so I had to reset all the settings to be able to connect again (I'm not sure if removing IPV6 triggered the DHCP problem). All in all, however, I like it, I get much more consistent hits and the pings are quite low. The firmware is 4.0.21 and I would be happy to try another firmware if you have it. Thank you

P.S.

Consider that to start the game I have to start via battlenet and I assume that it asks for authorization from the server in Ireland which works in complicity with the one in Milan to search for people in the game (and this is probably why it is not possible to limit the geofilter area completely )

Ya the master server/player data server / authentication server/ is probably the issue with the geo filter maybe use the draw mode and draw around the master server and the one you want to connect to ? just a idea it really sounds like the connection between the device and the master server or match server is being lost when using the geo filter just my two cents
