I was using the internet and it just randomly went off. ISP says everything is good on their end. I've unplugged it about 10 times. Is my router shot? It won't let me log into via my phone either. I have an R2 btw. Any help would be great.

I believe your R2 may need to be unplugged for about 10 minutes. So that every power in the R2 has depleted. Then, plug the cable back in and see if you can connect.

Thanks I'll give a try!

Are you able to access the interface via a wired PC? Reboot the modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R2, wait 4 minutes then see if you get internet

I tried that several times got it on for like a half hour and wasn't able to get back on.

If you could grab the log from the System Information page I can have a look to see what may have happened.

Ok, I'm using my backup router right now cause I couldn't get the R2 working. So when I have a min when the whole house isn't using the internet I'll plug it in and hopefully it works and I'll screenshot on post it.

Hey Frazer, I plugged in the R2 and its working good again after a couple days on the shelf. I took a screenshot of the log but its not letting me upload it on here. It keeps saying error and to contact us. Idk. Anyways, I downloaded the new 3.3 software and she is running smooth!

Try this:

  1. Quit the application/game/client completely
  2. Remove device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu
  4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option
  5. Set up the Geo-Filter how you like
  6. Wait 2 minutes
  7. Boot up application/game/client

Then see if it works.

What do you mean resync from geo map menu?

Haha, it's amazing how sometimes you look at one thing for so long and miss the smallest of details! Glad to hear it's working now, you're welcome!

Quick question off topic. Very interested in the R3, but is it gonna be buggy out of the box? Really want to pre-order it but reluctant a little to work out kinks. If they are minor then no biggy. You are always on top of it though! Where do I pre-order too?

Totally understand your concern, especially with the launch of the R2 being a little shaky. Obviously we haven't had it tested with 100's/1000's of users in different countries with different setups and internet connections so we can't guarantee there won't be issues but what I can say is that we've taken what we've learnt from the R2 and implemented that. Really focused on WiFi from the get go, ensured with the design that it won't overheat, implemented a system that will allow a user to more easily recover the router should it ever approach a brick type situation etc. The backend is much cleaner and more efficient, we can iterate a lot easier. In my opinion it doesn't even come close the the R1 or R2!

Of course once it launches we'll be closely monitoring feedback and issues and fixing things as fast as possible if needed.

Cool, thanks Fraser! I pre-ordered! Excited for the new hardware!
