Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 12, 2023 Administrators Posted February 12, 2023 Hello, welcome to the forum! Are ALL devices connected to the XR router or do you still have some connected to the BT hub? You'll need to put the XR WAN IP (found on the System Information page) into the BT router DMZ and that will help as well.
mnequest Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 I don't use the BT hub I conect the xr500 straight to the ont to replace the BT hub

mnequest Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 PPPOE is what the xr500 selected on setup
Netduma Liam Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Can you please put the BT hub back in place, then configure PPPoE on that. Afterwards, connect the XR500 to the BT Hub via DHCP instead of PPPoE. Re-test your speeds after that and see if they're better.

Then do the DMZ setting I mentioned previously and once you've done that check the speeds while connected to the XR.
mnequest Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Hello I have connected the xr500 to the bt router factory reset router followed wizard getting full speed on test but can't get past setting up router password get bad gateway Sorted this when I run the qos test speed only get 400-500 still but in setup full speed
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 13, 2023 Administrators Posted February 13, 2023 What about using speedtest.net, what do you get then?
mnequest Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 400 on the xr500 and 900 on the bt hub
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 13, 2023 Administrators Posted February 13, 2023 Did you put the XR in the BT Hub and are all devices still connected to the XR? If you disable QoS fully what do you get?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 19, 2023 Administrators Posted February 19, 2023 Can you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 21, 2023 Administrators Posted February 21, 2023 When you disable QoS how do you do it exactly? Also doesn't look like you've entered the speeds you expect in Bandwidth settings
mnequest Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 sorry sent with it enabled been playing with it here is the one i did the test with
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 21, 2023 Administrators Posted February 21, 2023 I've add you to the beta, upgrade to that and see if you're able to reach higher speeds: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/145-nighthawk-pro-gaming-beta/
mnequest Posted February 26, 2023 Author Posted February 26, 2023 still the same i have even tried to clone the mac of the bt router thinking its bt that are restricting it not using there router
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2023 Administrators Posted February 26, 2023 In WAN Settings set NAT to Open and disable the protection options, do you see an increase then?
mnequest Posted March 24, 2023 Author Posted March 24, 2023 Hello Sorry i have been busy not been using the router come to try again get full speed put can not login to router and no power light only the usb light on and eth1 flashing
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 24, 2023 Administrators Posted March 24, 2023 No worries at all. Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, then wait 2 minutes then old the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 2 minutes before accessing the interface and see if it works please
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 24, 2023 Administrators Posted March 24, 2023 While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
