Hi Guy's your help is much appreciated.

I'm based in the UK on BT ADSL and my Setup is:

D link DSL 320B in bridge mode with DHCP disabled.

NAT 2 PSN

Open NAT XBL

Download speed ~ 9.5

Upload ~ 0.9

Exceptional across all results with no packet loss

average ping around 15

speedtest.net about 15 ping 1-2 jitter

geo filter at around 1000km

PA 50

strict mode enabled

Bandwidth set to 70% on both.

Now I have the same old problem of being behind by a split second and just can't seem to be on even playing field no matter what I try.  I can see some of you have mastered it and are getting good games.

So not sure what I must do?

What are your pings to the host? It might be easier to work out what the problem is if you post the information from here :)

Also make sure the your console is chosen in the select service tab and click enable it should then say disable.

And that your bandwidth is set in the set bandwidth tab.

I live in the Uk and play at 314km with 0 ping assist, strict on MW, Bops and Ghosts.

Sorry guy's, had a really busy evening last night (people visiting) so didn't get a chance to take the screen shots.  Will get on it tonight, hopefully!

Quick question though, does changing my home position on the geo filter change my ping within the game?

Yes the ping of the game would normaly rise the further you move away from your location across the map

Thanks Zennon!

Sorry just to be sure, so changing my home location affects my ping to the host right? The further away from my home location the greater my ping to the host and vise versa?

Posted

Not quite.

Changing your home position affects which hosts you may get. If a host is further away from you then you may have a greater ping.

If you moved your home location but connected to same host, your ping would remain the same. It doesn't directly affect ping, just the hosts you can connect to which in turn can change ping. Make sense?
