SaltyBunny
I have an ( http://www.arrisi.com/products/product.asp?id=684 ) Arris DG1670 router/modem through Time Warner Cable. I have followed the setup guide in the Netduma box & I am Only receiving half of my of the connection speeds while connected through the Netduma (hard-wired). I have 100-down/5-up connection speeds "at this point time" and when i am hard-wired to the DG1670 i get atleast those speeds, if not higher. When I am connected through Netduma R1 hard-wired to the same computer, when I run a speedtest I get half the connection speeds.

SaltyBunny
Hey there, Thanks for the quick response i have been tinkering with what you linked. So I have got my speed up now; but when I go to network settings on the xbox and run a multiplayer test and/or a detailed network test, on the multiplayer test it says "Cant finish multiplayer tests" gives an option to "set up network" or "cancel." detailed network test It does not show any Download speed "it is blank" and my upload is 0.11 mbps. Also when i start up the xboxone it takes it a good 45 sec to min to log into xbox live. so there is something still wrong, any ideas? again thanks for the previous help!!! lukasz
Well i am not xbox user i know that speeds on internal test like xbox one are very in acurate as the microsoft servers may be far a way from you etc. So i never pay attention to those. Have you done the softaware upgrade?
SaltyBunny
Yes, I did do the upgrade. made a big difference. interface is alot slower switching between UI setting tabs, but it fixed my speed issues. Now just gotta work on gettting the xbox to get the high speeds. I am working on it, and will update here with anything i find that works.

lukasz
I was just thinking that you have set them and thats why. Have you try restarting both you isp router / modem and netduma?
SaltyBunny
ill do that now.. well i did it to Netduma but not to modem. They are both now reset. Seems to be snappy again the UI that is. Thanks ! now just need to get the speed on the xbox one fixed. they used to be the same as speed test or similar. But now im only getting 10.82 mbps down 2.73 up on the xbox network diag. I know you said they are not very accurate but i have had good result, very similar to any speed test normally.
lukasz
After you do a Xbox test Try using http://speedof.me/or http://testmy.net/ in your web browser on the xbox , this is a non java based speed test that can be performed and is better than the consoles test and you will see if its only the xbox test . Also Does it happen on other devices as well while xbox test is so low? if other devices are ok while xbox is still low then I wouldn't worry about what it says on there in xbox. Instead you should make sure that you are getting the speeds that you expect through a PC that is wired to the Netduma.
SaltyBunny
speeds are great on the mac . i use PC too but am on mac atm. lemme run that test in browser brbr
SaltyBunny
I ran the test through the browser on the box and got similar speeds or slower than MS network test. HHmmmmmmm Im only getting 10 Mbps or less on XBOX network test and browser test; and on speedtest.net i am getting 100-130up/6 down
lukasz
hmm... you could try to download some file to see how it goes. Like i sad my knowledge about xbox is limited as i am ps4 user. For me if all the devices are getting the band with you pay for and only xbox its not the i wouldn't worry about it i have exact same situation on my ps4. Lest wait for other users that have more knowledge about xbox. At lest we have fixed 2 issues you were having.
SaltyBunny
You are right, fixing 2 issues is big! Hopefully another xbox user has some knowledge for me as u suggested above. I can feel it when im playing to that getting melted feeling because your connections is crap @ that moment. I can feel the slowness lol. Ill be reading the forums to hopefully i syumble across omthin. one thing that i havent mention i put my arris dg1670 in bridged mode should it be in that mode or routed w/ or w/o nat? The UI could slow down because of pop up blockers or script blockers in your browser. My anti-virus actually was slowing down my R1 when I first got it. I ran the test through the browser on the box and got similar speeds or slower than MS network test. HHmmmmmmm Im only getting 10 Mbps or less on XBOX network test and browser test; and on speedtest.net i am getting 100-130up/6 down Make sure all the settings are saved since you restarted the R1. Sometimes after a reboot things like to reset back to default. Follow the speed tuning guide
SaltyBunny
all the settings are still same, on the congestion bars. If i am the only one using the network should i still lower them from 100%?

SaltyBunny
It is hard wired.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 19, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 19, 2015 It is hard wired. Its probably just inaccuracies on the tests then. If your other devices are receiving the right speeds then chances are that the Xbox is also getting them. You could try what Lukasz said and download something - the only problem with that is that the Xbox servers don't let you download at full speed
SaltyBunny
If I hard wire the xbox to the arris i get 100/5 its just when the netduman is hard wired to xbox that it gets slow speeds.

Right but what about your bandwidth settings? Is enable deep packet processing off? There are multiple settings that don't save when you reboot.
