jeycee
hi guys, I've searched the forum and haven't found anything useful. I would like to use my surfshark vpn with my ps5 but unfortunately my ps5 does not connect to PSN although hybrid vpn shows connected. I have the openvpn config directly from surfshark and the correct access data for the openvpn file. (Netduma R2) Please help
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted November 21, 2022 How have you added the console to HybridVPN? Can you provide a screenshot of the page please?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted November 21, 2022 That looks normal, it's quite possible they have banned the specific server you're trying to use, try a different config for another server and see if that works jeycee
jeycee
i am in germany i tried italy, switzerland, germany, denmark servers ..no chance PS5 can't connect to internet (A DNS server can't be used. The DNS server didn't respond... All set to Automatic on PS5 image: i downloaded the UDP and also TCP configs, nothing worked what about the server addresses in the image, do i need them too? any tips? maybe I'm missing something, thx
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted November 21, 2022 If you apply the VPN to another device, does it change its IP and appear to be behind the VPN? If it is then I suspect that PSN have blocked the VPN completely jeycee
jeycee
ok I just tried it with another provider and it works immediately! surfshark is terminated. Thank you Fraser as always for your super fast and competent support. I'm currently playing MW2 on PS5 and PC (battlenet) in munich / germany, so if you still need any help...just let me know. Best regards Jay🤝

jeycee
new info: you have to use the dns server from surfshark in netduma then it works... it is not as smooth like the other provider but it works Netduma Fraser
johnnytran
Surfshark works fine for me on my console but I think I may have added 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8 as DNS manually due to the bug with the r2 DNS. jeycee
jeycee
ah ok, what is the bug with the r2 dns exactly? normaly i leave it on auto..
Netduma Liam
1 hour ago, jeycee said: ah ok, what is the bug with the r2 dns exactly? normaly i leave it on auto.. In some situations user's may experience a DNS leak where DNS requests do not go through the VPN. That's being fixed for the next version I believe. jeycee
