I keep losing my NAT type on Xbox…it just says “getting info”. How can I ensure that it stays open…what can I change or check when I randomly get the “getting info, or “can’t get teredo address” messages

 

So frustrating when trying to use Xbox chat

What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to? Have you put the XR WAN IP in the modem DMZ?

Xr500 software version v2.3.2.134

 

i believe it’s in the DMZ

what are the correct steps to do so if I haven’t done that

What is the model of the modem/router you have the XR500 connected to? Copy the WAN IP from the System Information page on the XR, access your modem interface, find the DMZ setting, paste the IP and apply.

My xr500 is my modem/router, my fiber connection plugs right into the xr500

The XR500 has no modem functionality, so whatever it connects to via it's WAN port must be a modem of some description. Perhaps an ONT? Do you know the make and model of it so we can look into it.
