Will ac support be added?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've just read a post that this router doesn't currently support the ac standard.

Are there any plans for a firmware upgrade to implement this?

No this is a hardware limitation unfortunately.

Any plan to bring out a new version with added ac support? I wouldn't mind paying £10 more for ac.

Not currently, right now we're focused on this next massive upgrade :)

Suppose I'll have to hold off jumping to ac this year then! :(

You could always use an AC Access point and connect that to the Netduma :)

The Netdumas wifi is very strong I can pick it up on the other side of the street by my neighbours house.

Are you trying to give me a heart attack?

I just Bing'd to see the prices of them.

I think I'll stick to non-ac. The access points price vs speed doesn't make me smile! :P

Well that's good, sometimes on my current SH2AC, the signal drops to 2 or 3 bars.

TP-Link Archer C7 is what I use.
