KennyUbstrd1
The condensed version: Up until about 2 weeks ago I was connecting to my Xbox using IPv6. Without explanation the Xbox no longer recognizes an IPv6 connection. When reading this keep in mind that my wired computers recognize an IPv6 signal. Here are the steps I've taken (with no resolve): - Reset router and modem - Reinstalled Xbox OS - Tried an out-of-the-box (new) router. - Contacted my internet provide to r/o any issues there - Attempted a wireless connection to see if that resolved the problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. My game does run much smoother with IPv6. Thanks!
crunkjuice1
What model router do you have? I have a XR 500 router with DumaOS 3.0 and although I have a series X now before I had an Xbox one X and three Xbox ones and I basically had to disable ipv6 because all four of those consoles would not work online at all so I would just disable ipv6 back to ipv4 and ever console would work perfectly. I still continue to disable ipv6 since I figured for the past year ipv6 is just another bug that needs to get ironed out with 3.2 update whenever it decides to show itself. (Dec 26 2022) perhaps? (Wishful thinking)
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 26, 2022 Just to clarify, you used a completely different router without DumaOS - you got IPv6 addresses on PCs but still not for the Xbox? If so that sounds like a specific Xbox issue to me, are you on the Insider program and get early Xbox firmware?
KennyUbstrd1
I'm sorry. Two different routers, xbox did not pick up on IPv6 for either. Good point about the Insider Program. Let me check there. Netduma Fraser and Netduma Liam
