updated netduma to newest.

skip initial setup and reset.

waiting till startup and reset via pinhole and after that i shut it down.
restart fritzbox.

start netduma r2

---------

Bugs found on startup

setting my location doesent work.

Berlin

germany

baden württemberg

Stuttgart

nothing has ben found....

i can set my location later in geo filter as home and there it works without issues...

--------

Congestion control set to auto and running a ping test under load does show me ping spikes.setting congestion control to always does work(idle=underload ping)

-----

dns issue from previous firmware is still in testing.

i will post here if the issue still exists.

currently i can use everyting without issues.i deleted my dns settings on each connected device.

Thanks for the update so far!

When did you start testing this out of interest? We had some cloud issues over the weekend so that might suggest why you had issues with the location setup.

Also looks as though you may be using IPv6 which has also presented some problems, perhaps try disabling that on the LAN side in the Network Settings.

I updated Yesterday.

i needed to turn off, save and turn on ipv6 for the xbox on the first startup on xbox otherwise it does only show me ipv4

i have native ipv4/ipv6

dns problems are solved with this firmware no need to set a dns on each device.

OK, somebody else also reported the issue of setting the location in setup and Geo-filter but it's since been resolved after we fixed the cloud side of things. Let us know if you have any further issues with it though.

  • 2 weeks later...

Guys the DNS problems are back....

i didnt play last few weeks (since my last post)and i was confused why my xbox was offline yesterday.

today my xbox again was offline....

after checking it with my iphone connected to fritzbox everything is fine.

Connected to r2 it doesent resolve any website...

setting dns on my phone fixed it.....

i tried overide dns 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 and turn off upstream dns directly on the netduma but it didnt work.....

restart didnt help at all...

so the bug isnt fixed since the previous update

Thanks for letting us know, we're currently working on reproducing and resolving this issue in our endurance testing. I'll forward your post on to the team for further information.

i restartet r2.

logged in with my iphone and tried to open google.

tried to download logfile wich didnt work(old desktop version not the new).

i switched to my pc(for the logfile).

try to open google. wich didnt work, but typing 1.1.1.1 opens cloudflares website so dns is still down.

overide dns again and saved, but it didnt work.

switched back to upstream dns and still nothing..

in the logfile all dns settings have a number behind it?!

1.1.1.1#53

8.8.8.8#53

We've seen a few people have this issue recently so we're now looking into it, thank you for the log file, we'll let you know if we have any more questions. For the moment set the DNS on the affected the devices themselves so you have proper internet access.
