TrayDay
I want to know if there is a way to save the logs via USB port, live. Because, I know each time I have to unplug the AC from the router. The logs will be completely wiped and only begin logging fresh. I know you guys always need the logs before unplugging. But I don't have any access to R2 interface at all, even adding static IP. R2 doesn't recognize any connection until unplugging and re-plugging. Since I figure giving it a try again due to considering using my old R1 AC adapter since I seen someone mentioned changing or getting new AC adapter fixed their issues of losing connection. But it worked for about 2 days since I factory reset and used R1 AC adapter this past Saturday and today the disconnect happened again. So hoping using USB to save and keep track of the logs would be of some help if possible of course.

This will then log to an external server allowing us to keep record of them even if the R2 loses power. If you want, we can enable this and you can then let us know the next time this issue occurs. If you want to go ahead and do that, just go to Network Settings -> WAN -> Enable remote access to tech support and let me know when you've done so. Thanks Liam, I'm going to probably have to do so in a couple of days. Due to the uncertainty that it happens while a family member is currently using the internet during the day as they are working from home. Just figure I'd give it a go during the weekend time. But I"m also considering purchasing an actual modem since I'm currently using the standard ISP modem and like the R1 and this ISP. Always had complications. I don't know why I didn't think about this WAY SOONER, lol. Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks.

Thinking about it more I'd need to look into it further with a developer as it's more complicated accessing an R1, but give us a shout when you're ready and we'll see. I have it connected as a secondary router with important clients on the first router and so far it's been connected for 2 days now, no disconnects. But as stated earlier, going by previous statement of connecting it on Saturday and by Monday it had complications. Two days of it being live, I've enabled the Netduma Tech Access in the settings. Just in case it drops. I've also attached log even though there is no errors. But just as a reference ahead of time just in case it want to deactivate on me. log-1653603643491.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 26, 2022 Is the R1 in the DMZ of the upstream router? If not we wouldn't be able to access the R1 until that is done. It's worth in LAN Setting, seting the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects. I can't access my upstream router/modem interface. My ISP doesn't allow one to enter it. I know that the modem I have is of the PUMA lineup and from reddit many users have had problems with my modem EN2251. I'm going to try your suggestion and place my clients outside the DHCP range. I swapped the routers around with R2 being the main and the other router being the secondary. Today, it dropped. BUT, I was able to connect to the WiFi of R2 and access the interface. Since anything hardwired couldn't connect. Here's the log. log-1654017422395.txt I restarted from the interface and here's the log after restart just in case you need as well. log-1654018397364.txt
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 31, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 31, 2022 Okay that's a pure modem so we can disregard the DMZ for that. Do the same suggestion regarding the reserved IPs for the R2 as well. Thanks for the logs, we'll take a look. TrayDay
TrayDay
A little while ago. My internet went out for a bit then it returned but for a moments time the internet was barely getting 100-150mbps at the time before it fully returned to full bandwidth. I thought I may have knocked someone but everything was in tact. Maybe there was a ISP temp outage for a few minutes. Not sure, But here's the log just in case you guys see something. It did last longer than before with the STATIC IP out of DHCP range. 5 days compared to the 2(3) days. log-1654562697672.txt

Looking at the logs, there's a pattern. It does look like around 5:26pm to 5:29pm was one of the moments I noticed not being able use the internet and having to reset R2 from Gui. I immediately downloaded when I noticed I had connection at the 5:44pm. Probably had it sooner but just waited. Mon Jun 6 17:06:00 2022 user.info com.netdumasoftware.neighwatch: DHCP old event. I'd be interested to see if this occurs on the latest firmware that's currently with our Early Access testers.

Which I also believe is the reason for me being able to be LIVE for more days than usual AND being able to restart from the interface than having to unplug the R2. OK thanks for that, that's really helpful to know. I'll get a developer to look into your logs and we'll see what we can find. TrayDay
