Broadband speed on r2

Try and find the PPPoE settings on the BT Hub interface. It's hard to provide specific instructions because I don't know the exact steps to do it on BT.

Enter your PPPoE login credentials there, on the BT Hub.

Then go back to the R2 interface and go to Network Settings -> WAN -> Network and tick DHCP then save network.

Hello @Netduma Liam @Netduma Fraser

I have this some problem, all time no more like 540 Mbps. On Fritzbox 7530 I have full speed.

My NetDuma R2 is connected to Huawai optical network terminal ( PPPoE )

Based on the previous response from Liam he was asking you to get the BT Hub to handle PPPoE instead to then see if the speeds are increased, have you done this?

I'm not sure if I understand you well, I don't use BT Hub. I used the FritzBox 7530 and it had full speed on it. I disconnected the Fritz and connected R2 via PPPoE but now my speed is no more than 540 Mbps.

Have the Fritz handle PPPoE instead and then re-test on the R2 and it should be higher

Earlier it was connected like that. I disconnected Fritz and left R2 because when they were both, I had Nat open on Xbox and Nat moderate in COD Warzone. I used DMZ or port fowarding but it didn't change anything. That's why I disconnected Fritz.

If it's Open on the console then the moderate in game reading will be a misreading, given the console itself handles all network traffic so if that is saying it is Open then it is impossible for you to have a moderate NAT on the game. Having a moderate NAT also wouldn't negatively impact your game experience. Did you see higher speeds in this configuration?

Tomorrow I will reconnect the FritzBox and run tests

I connected as you wrote,. NAT in the game  moderate. QOS disabled. Speed max 600 Mpbs.

I mean the speeds are higher so that is a good start, in Settings, disable IPv6 for LAN and WAN and also disable the protection options, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes then re-test. Also have you put the R2 in the Fritz DMZ? If not please do that as it should help.

I did everything as you wrote, I have full speed. I removed DMZ from xbox and left UPnP. Nat is open in xbox and Warzone. Only when I do the test on Netduma it shows half the speed, on other tests it is ok. @Netduma Fraser Big Big THANK YOU.

Hi guys sorry for not replying for a while but I was busy I’m looking to change dhcp to pppoe on Bt router but I can only see option on or off I can’t see where I can put pppoe details

is it ok to turn off dhcp and turn it on on R2 or that will not work?

I'm not entirely sure where to configure PPPoE on the BT Hub I'm afraid, are there any WAN/Internet settings you can look into?

I wouldn't disable DHCP, you'll want that enabled to the R2 can connect to it.
