David824
Just wondering the best setup for my PS5 and my PC, So Ive been playing fortnite again since there no build...I have it on both console and PC....I switch back and forth on them ..I also play rebirth on both. I notice on rebirth I get better hit registration if I put my PC in DMZ and I kill faster on fortnite with my PS5 is in DMZ also, Since I cant put them both in DMZ whats the best way of running that? Is there a way I can say put my PC in DMZ and put my PS5 in something out in order to give both a open NAT? or put my PS5 in DMZ and put my PC in another way so I can have a open NAT that way? Right now I'm running my PS5 in DMZ and getting good games on both games...and when I want to play on my PC I'm just running a Mod nat. I have read how its really not suppose to make a difference as long as they are both open which they are through UPNP but I can really tell a difference. Ive even left rebirth with it under UPNP and not getting kills and changed it and rebooted the R2 with DMZ on and I go back to dropping people easier. So again...just curious how to run the R2 and get both a open nat without using UPNP...... if there is a way. thanks!

I wouldn't suggest putting either the PC or the PS5 in the DMZ, what would be better would be to put the R2 in the DMZ of the upstream router/modem. If you could let us know the make and model of your modem we may be able to help by finding some instructions as to how you do this.
David824
I have ATT fiber which I have my R2 DMZ in their version of the modem/router....thing is...I don't use their router....I use their IP passthrough and just use their modem into my R2. That's why I was wondering what the best way to use my R2 with having them both getting an open NAT without using the UPNP because it seems like under the UPNP I don't get very good hit registration to the point I can tell a difference when playing on both console and PC. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 2, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2022 The only way would be port forwarding, you should be able to find the ports the games use on their respective platforms and then make rules for that. If that doesn't work then there isn't a way without UPnP. If you want to put the PS5 in the DMZ it's okay though as Liam said not recommended but I would never suggest you put your PC in the DMZ, that is a very bad move security wise.
