Not getting speeds paying for

Yes my xr 700  was getting full speed. Will try does  xr700 need to be in ap mode or just put the XR1000 to 700

It doesn't need to be in AP mode, you'll need to configure the network as follows:

Modem -> XR700 -> XR1000 -> PC

When I do as you asked only thing I can connect to is the xr700

And now I can't log into duma0s

XR1000  I disconnected the 700 and now I can't log into dumas. Keeps saying to long to reach

I got in the ip address changed  to something else

720/35 .but  Duma os was from xr700 not the 1000 I think I messed something up..Ihave it as follows modem xr700  into  the XR1000. Do I use the wan ports. I'm sorry I'm confusing   everyone  but I have very little network knowledge

The way to think of it is that the WAN port is the port where the internet is coming in from so each router needs to get the internet to pass it on to the devices connected to it. The LAN ports are for devices you want to get internet from the router. So for example, the modem will connect to the XR700 WAN port. A XR700 LAN port will then connect to the XR1000 WAN port.
