It says failed, and then I have to log in and put in all the OpenVPN profile information again. If I log  into the VPN on my PC though the app it doesn't disconnect so it is not my VPN account that is the issue.

Any ideas?

Who is your VPN provider? Are you able to provide the OpenVPN config file here to we can make some additions/changes to help?

Add

keepalive 10 30

to the config and see if that helps keep it connected for longer.

Thanks, does it matter where I add it?

As in it's failing immediately or it fails after some time passes?

Yea instantly, it says connecting then says failed.

Keep the option I gave you in then take out these options:

ping 15
ping-restart 0
ping-timer-rem

and see if it will connect and stay connected for longer
