What determines hit detection?

This is a discussion on hit detection, as i say i am 0.5 seconds behind. We are trying to see if there is a fix! I have tried the todzilla thing and that turned me from about 1-1.5 second delay down to a 0.5 second delay! 

So much better but i want rid of that 0.5 second and get me peek so i can compete. 

When i played blackout at my old home, where i had 0 problems i was a 5.1KD!!! 

So to go from 5.1KD to now 3.1 (i apologise it was 3.5 not long ago but this shoot first die first / hackers is causing it to drop) i also get its a different game. But i can totally feel the difference! I can feel the slight delay. When i peek someone decent, as they are 0.5 sec ahead they have taken 2 plates of me before i even see them 'in real game time'

 

Not even sure if there is a fix, or if im just shit out of luck.

 

What i have noticed here in the UK is that every pro / high KD player is on Virgin Media, i am on BT. The only difference i see on most games is my ping on virgin is 11-15 and those on virgin are 31ms

The other differnece is BT is PPPoE and VM is DSL or something 

I think the *KEY* here is that 31ms ping, i have read loads about lag compensation and apparently if ping too good you get hit by lag comp too hard and if too ping ping same. You need between 30-50ms ping for an optimal connection. 

I can get this to work by geofiltering me to spain etc, giving 31ms ping. BUT this only works when i host and not for tornys! So its sort of a pointless fix as the main reason i want to get my game sorted is so i can compete with the best of the best. Custom lobbys are the main focus point so wouldnt work for me. 

I have emailed virgin and no chance they will sort it so, ima kinda shit outa luck really.

sounds like its just luck of the draw on the ( lobbies / servers ) at this point. use geofilter set the home pin as close as you can to your actual location and set the circle to the server closes to your home location so it forces that server only. this is on a 9m ping server perfect example of me shooting last and killing first cause of connection

and this is all on console 80 fov no hidden affected setting frame locked at 60fps, cant wait to my GPU comes in for the custom pc i built

What ping are you getting in game? If you goto settings and check.

The videos above are not too good at showing it because they are bots missing there shots. They might be shooting first but there missing the shots, you are a better player than them and hit your shots more accurately! 

My issue is with the level of player they do not miss, neither do i. So its all about connection, if they get a 0.5sec headstart. I just loose 😂 i shoot exact same time on my screen.. on theres im 2 plates down before shootings! 

This is what i get when connection is nice! But thats RARE haha..

9m to 13, - Bots? lol i wish nothing but demons and hackers in my lobbies. Everyone slide canceling and 360 sniper trick shots 😉

i use something called GRC's | DNS Nameserver Performance Benchmark (google it) to find me the fastest dns for my area. googles 8888 and 8844 and 1111 have never ever been close to top of the list for me (this is a completely different subject but i feel alot of streamers and youtube content creators give out false info so little billy and timmy can run around and not be able to kill anything cause of the wrong gun class recommendations or setting recommendations) i would watch JGOD's latest videos all the time then try the setup and they would be complete ass, i would watch nickmercs and notice the attachments he shows on the gun is not the same attachments hes actually running around with https://clips.twitch.tv/MagnificentFuriousSwordRedCoat-4IrwzWyZU9V8vYDU

ok so i got a little off subject. i use that dns tool to find me the fastest dns i change the setting on the duma os under wan / network from auto to the dns the tool says to use then i also put that dns on my console

for QOS when playing MP xbox live has a 25mb cap any internet connection faster then that gets handicapped, faster the connection the harder the lag compression engine hits  you so when i play MP on those 9ms lobbies i have my sliders set to 20mb down 5mb up, when i play warzone i have them set to 70% down / 70% up and for traffic prioritization i force 3074 and 3075 only

for geo filter when playing mp or warzone i believe ping is king i have my home pin set to where i actually live and the radius circle set to the minimum of 311 miles,

there are alot of videos on my ig @TODDzillaInLA and my teams IG @OWUH_Gaming where you can see i shot last and kill first alot of the time because of the advantage pc players hardware rise have over console players

if you upnp is off and you have a moderate or strict Nat type then you didn't follow the directions to port forward the correct ports

upnp on defeats the whole purpose of this method

How did you find out that the lag compensation engine in xbox live lobbies were hitting people with faster speeds? And does this also apply to pc/crossplay lobbies.

So moving these sliders in QOS, effectively throttles your connection to those speeds ie. 20/5?

hello I have used netduma r1 for a long time which was very good but since dumaOS it does not work as I would like I have now been using OpenWrt for several years which suits me perfectly, I am on ps5 and I use a script without even having a package SQM that my colleague to create I had some ideas about the script because I am not a developer but it really brought a lot to the gameplay,

i'm playing too in battle royale and a little bit a multiplayer my advance for ennemies is very good

my router is linksys E8450 (usa)  aka belkin rt3200 (european union) best router for the moment dual core CPU 1.4 ghz 
you can use the vpn if you want like nolagvpn but i'm not interested i has also tested in Untitled 3.paint

I use to have only a 20mb connection and i didnt need none of this extra stuff, upgrade to 200mb and couldn't play any more. and after months and months of bugging xbox support on twitter they finally told me about the bandwidth cap
