Newfie
Hi have you altered the DHCP and IP address. If so you need to be on auto and renew it if you have altered it manually ie looking at stats on a modem for example.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 4, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 4, 2021 Good advice above. Does the Mac connect to the WiFi and get an IP address even without internet or does it fail to connect at all?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 5, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 5, 2021 Check the Device Manager, does the Mac appear as a black icon? Are you using Traffic Controller or Adblocker at all?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 27, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 27, 2021 It doesn't appear as a black icon on the Device Manager either? Also it's worth having a look online as it's specific to one device it indicates something to do with the device rather than the router, here is an example which has some steps you can follow and see if they fix the issue https://appletoolbox.com/solved-macbook-connects-to-wi-fi-but-has-no-internet-connection/

Exe_uz
Try and delete both the ethernet and wifi options in your system preferences and then re-add and use the automatic settings as mentioned previous, it worked for me 🙂

There was quite a few suggestions on the link, they're worth a try. Would be good if we could see what happens from the above suggestion as well

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 29, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 29, 2021 Try disabling QoS fully from the Congestion Control menu and see whether it works then
