bbursley Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 Essentially they are just tricking the skill based matchmaking algorithm, and also some people really do have godly connections, mix the two and boom, you have the most epic looking gameplay, might as well be killing recruit bots lmao
Fashion Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 theyre using vpns i just asked a streamer they use vpns singapore bahamas hawaii etc

Netduma Liam Posted May 25, 2021 Posted May 25, 2021 We don't sell a VPN service ourselves I'm afraid, but you can purchase a subscription from pretty much any provider you like and you can then use it with our Hybrid VPN feature! That being said, using a VPN while gaming generally means additional latency, particularly if you're trying to connect to very distant servers. You'll probably find a much better experience using Geo-filter to ensure you're always connecting to local server. Let us know if you've got any questions optimising Geo-filter for your network
Fashion Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 yeah i do need help understanding the geo filter more tbh then 5 hours ago, Netduma Liam said: We don't sell a VPN service ourselves I'm afraid, but you can purchase a subscription from pretty much any provider you like and you can then use it with our Hybrid VPN feature! That's a broad question to answer really but there is a lot of information here: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000077072-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-geo-filter There are also the ? icons on each panel of the interface that will give more info on that specific panel
Fashion Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 ping goes from 22-70 sometimes which is about right
Fashion Posted May 25, 2021 Author Posted May 25, 2021 is 1000 miles radius to much if i put my home to FL or is that perfect if you play warzone what is your radius at?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 25, 2021 Administrators Posted May 25, 2021 Our usual starting recommendation for distance is 1000km/600miles so you could bring it down a little. What is your base ping i.e. the ping you get when you do speedtest.net? The ping fluctuation is quite large actually! What is the lowest ping server as shown by Ping Heatmap? What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to?
Fashion Posted May 26, 2021 Author Posted May 26, 2021 my base ping is 11 ms the lowest ping show on heatmap is 13 in ny and FL is 46 where i have my location at
Netduma Liam Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 OK do you find yourself playing on that server most of the time? Around 46ms? You shouldn't need to replace your modem, any ISP supplied modem should be fine!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 26, 2021 Administrators Posted May 26, 2021 Try and force that NY server by drawing a polygon over it/moving your location/radius there and see if you can get a better game/ping.
Fashion Posted May 26, 2021 Author Posted May 26, 2021 draw a poly over where i live in nyc i wanna play FL Bahamas area im not trying play in nyc huge population
