Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 17, 2021 Depends what your bandwidth is, if you have a gigabit connection then it is 0.5Mbps which is normal - also possible not all of it is being picked up as gaming but either way shouldn't be a problem

But it appers that inst giving games the proper attention. Sometimes i enter in games with 80\90 ms and in as pics that goes to 100\120 ms in the middle of the game

Its seconds that do the differene( in my case in a negative way). The thing is that in same games a have a very good ping() 60ms and i want at least to have about 80% of the games with that type of connection
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 17, 2021 Is it the same server area you're forcing each time where the games are sometimes not great? If so then as it's the in game ping that will be down to server load, so might be best to try forcing other servers during those times

One more thing the ping change a lot if i play trios or quads, most of the times the ping is much better in trios then in quads. Are the servers different? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 17, 2021 That will be the server loads then as the pings would generally increase due to the distance being further away. They may use different servers for those purposes, hard to say why that would happen though. Is solo better than trios as well?
Mike23
Yes most ofthe times solo is when i have the best connection, about 60 ms. When its good is very good
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 17, 2021 That must be something on the game side as there is no reason I can see why anything to do with your connection would cause that. It's probably because they have to allow more undesirable servers to fit more parties in - e.g. if you're one player you can join any game/server but if you're a team of 3 or 4, the amount of games/servers with spaces on one team for that many players would be reduced. Ok, but i always put to of ideal conditions in the geo-filter to play call of duty( use the call of duty profiles

I dont think that my expectatition were very high( about your router). i want to belive that im not being able to exploit the R2 full potential and when i reach that spot the game experience for me is gonna be much, much better
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2021 What is the average ping you're getting to the game as shown by the Geo-Filter? Can you provide a screenshot of a completed Connection Benchmark test?

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2021 I think you've disabled Auto Ping on the Geo-Filter so you'll need to re-enable that and then it will ping the host of the server. Your base ping has a big spike so there isn't much we can do about that. However, the Ping Under Load for upload is quite jittery. On Congestion Control, use Always and adjust the upload percentage, re-test, then adjust, rinse repeat until the upload part of Ping Under Load is closer to 7ms

Hydros85
hello,i will attach to the topic,as you can see in the screenshot,i have a jump in the ping under load, try everything congestion control with the sliders and nothing changes , its the internet provider's fault ?? i have package Download 600 and the upload to 60 mb/s , for example taking a smaller package from provider there is a chance that the jump in the upload will be reduced ? Netduma Liam
Did you have Congestion Control set to 'Always' when testing this? Are all devices connected to the XR500 or are there other devices connected to the upstream modem?
Hydros85
yes it it set to always, a modem from my isp that i do not have access to : ZTE ZXA10 F625G next - xr500 - then a cable connected directly to the computer, nothing else is connected to the modem and router. It is also strange that it resets router to factory settings wit the button on the back of the router (reset) and the settings in qos remain before the reset (i reset by turning off the router, hold the reset button, turned on router and hold the reset for 20 seconds)
Netduma Liam
OK so all devices you have are connected to your XR500? Also, possibly unrelated but I would suggest setting your Bandwidth speeds correctly in the three-dot menu in the top right of your interface. Your connection benchmark is showing speeds of 450/100mbps. We are aware of an issue with QoS not resetting when the router is factory reset, we are working on that one. Hydros85
yes,all devices are only connected to the xr500, and i set my internet speeds up like you said. Just what about that upload ping under load 😕 why can't decrease this ping in congestion control
Netduma Liam
Thanks for confirming, could you please provide a screenshot of your current QoS configuration and we'll see if there's anything we can suggest to optimise it?
Hydros85
it is also strange that i turned off Qos in congestion control and the results was the same, and the second thing i connected toe computer via a wifi card and as you can see on the screen there are A and B ratings, what is it about ?😅 although today i did some more tests and it's D again so maybe it was a coincidence 😔
