Netduma R2 randomly losing connection

Are ALL devices losing connection or WiFi/ethernet devices? How often does it seem to occur? Does the connection return on its own or do you need to reboot?

What is the model of the modem/router the R2 is connected to?

Sorry for the late reply I was OOP.
Yes it loses connection on all devices, I went to the netduma router website while it was happening to do a connection test and I had extremely low internet speed, KB. please help this is happening now more often than not..

It returns on its own, sometimes I can hear the people I'm in a call with during the loss of connection but they cannot hear me and I disconnect from any website or game.

It happened just now three times in a span of 5-10 minutes

The name of my modem is HOTBOX v1.0

Copy the WAN IP from the R2 System Information page and set that as static/reserved on the Hotbox and that should help to prevent the issue

is this where i'm supposed to set it as static? if not then where would I go about it?

Edit:Ā  I put a reservation but about 3 minutes after I still lost connection

See what ip your hotbox has and set that ip as your static ip in your hotbox. there should be a field where you assign the ip of your hotbox.

Another update, the problem seems to be not fixed, the R2 ip is static now

Is this now happening less consistently than before? Did you reboot the R2 after assigning the static IP?

I think so yes, but its still happening a lot I dont really notice a difference

In the R2 Settings, set the DHCP lease hours to 168 please then reboot the router from the interface, wait 2 minutes before connecting/accessing and see if it happens less please.

I'll do that right away and tell you if it happens less while I'm on throughout the day

When it happens do you still have access to the interface? If so can you grab the log file as soon as you notice it happening please?

Thanks for that, could you disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN Settings, reboot from the interface and see if it happens again please?

Its already disabled and happeningĀ
