Oren Tasuna
Hi, I isolated Netduma R2 to basically work only as a Geo Filter device (disabled WiFi, only PS connected wired, Netduma gets internet from Asus RT-AX82). Is there any way to access Netduma web interface without connecting to it directly (e.g. by some routing rule in Asus router or Netduma Router)? Thanks
Newfie
Isolated, do you mean you have the R2 in DMZ?

I mean R2 has no WiFi (disabled in management interface, antenas in the drawer), no device except PS4 is connected to it, no QoS, no congestion control and gets internet from Asus router. R2 is used only for Geo Filter. In R2 PS4 is set as DMZ and in Asus router R2 is set as DMZ (but that's not relevant to my question so much...). Newfie
Then no as it’s DMZ which is why I asked. Some routers you can setup to connect to say modems via an address but not with DMZ enabled. Without DMZ you will have firewall issues. I would not have the PS4 in DMZ either but each to their own, you need to insure your network is isolated to insure nothing can be found via any connection. Think of it like isolating LoT devices.

Oren Tasuna
BTW, is there a way to achieve DMZ like behavior without setting DMZ for PS4, so I can remotely access R2 but still don't have to deal with port forwarding etc.? And also, is remote access relevant when connected to other router (so WAN IP is actually a local address of the master router)?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 6, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 6, 2021 There is not a remote access via WAN option so it won't be possible to access it that way unfortunately. I'd suggest setting up maybe a guest wifi network that isn't broadcast then you can just connect to on one device when needed to adjust options. Oren Tasuna
Hi, I disabled DMZ on both Asus router and Netduma R2 and enabled remote connection for tech support, but I still cannot connect to Netduma web interface unless connected directly to it. Is there something that can be done?

Oren Tasuna
OK thanks, so - just for knowledge, what is the Enable remote access checkbox for? how is it accessed remotely?

That's for our developers to access units to gather information or capture logs if needed, it's not something you'll be able to make use of yourself.
