It was just an interim firmware so bugs are expected but it was fairly stable from what I hear. Reupgrade to the same firmware then do a reset please and see if that helps.

ok tried that and no joy. so what i'm going to try is to go back to the original firmware being that it worked for maybe a month then stopped working. after this i'm done will just put my old DLINK back or purchase an asus router in which i don't want to being that i just bought a brand new router for gaming that is not behaving so well.

So, in the meantime what is on the horizon for a stable update for the game changing R2? how long really?

ok was able to actually go back to shipped preinstalled  firmware then upgrade to the latest. geo is now working overall speed test is working seems more responsive. Had to do a factory reset lost all of my saved server list again.. no biggie just have to recreate them and try to use caddy if it works onR2 to export server allow/deny lists to text file. hopefully if i have to do a factory reset in the future  i will not have to go through recreation of server lists again .. Geo Fliter  is working also now.

Great to hear that, sorry about losing your list, we do plan to allow people to save it in future. Seems promising so far!

that's great to hear about the lists, hope you guy's implement that it would be a nice addition to the router.

Well the router had a emotional event again it completely shut down my internet. it did not know if it wanted to be happy and stay on or sad and randomly reset my internet  this morning late while viewing you-tube sometime after 1:00am. icon on computer for lan still indicated online connection though. random checked sites and could not load pages. on screen the router displayed something to the effect wait while restarting internet maybe lol it was late don't remember. i shut down my computer and went to sleep... anyhow  looks good so far though today since getting home from work at 4:30pm.. j

I have this exact same issue, it's like the router has a memory leak and it just slows down over time have to keep resetting it every 3-5 days to get access to the interface.

same here with 3.0.123 firmware. Slows down and GUI unresponsive. Unplug/plug solves it for few days. 1000/50 cable internet and ~20 active clients connected 24/7. I disabled all that I could except NAT, no help.

@Netduma Fraser I have the interim firmware you provide me just a little over a week ago. I have followed all the steps with the firmware update that are suggested (restarting after install, changing lease time and so forth) Everything was working great for about 3 days, then I started to get WiFi drops again.  It started out I needed to restart once a day to fix the WiFi issues.  That only helped for about 2 days.  Then it was twice a day.  So I factory reset the router and set everything up again.  This did not help.  Back to multiple times a day now. Is there an updated firmware from the one you sent me I can try?  I am sorry to have to ask... But this is getting a little out of hand. I have never had to daily restart a router ever before just to use it for it's intended purpose.

That is a feature that will be constantly improving so we're still working on it.

Thank you.  I sent you a PM back.  Long story short, while on the older firmware... all internet connections (wired and wireless) stopped working.  Direct connection to the modem worked for my computer.  Multiple factory resets and restarting of the router and modem never fixed the issue on the older firmware.  This newer one fixed the issues... but for how long we will see.  Unfortunately these problems cost me billable hours for my job this morning.  I appreciate the quick help... please take a look at my PM and let me know if you need anything additional with that.
