john22rob
Hi All, so i got my new netduma router today and ive spent about 8 hours setting it up and reading the guides with a few Xbox one Advanced Warfare (AW) tests on the way. 1) how do i know if i have connected to another player (PTP) or a server? 2) im in the pre game lobby and its pinging around 25ms to the host and shows under 300miles away, the game starts and the ping goes up(normal i assume with the host/server under load) but the distance shoots up to anything up to 3000miles away 3) i can see who the host is with the biggest circle, why can i not rate and update. there seems to be no update button so farm i'm seeing no benefits to spending £160 and using this router. AW does not play any better. Still seem to be in lobbies where the other team are all gods and i am an ant being stood on. if i could throw the gun at the enemy i'd have more chance of killing them first(an idea for the next cod game lol, throw your gun at them, an achievement could be 'think fast' throw your gun at them, pick it up and get a kill(or die)) thanks John
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 13, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 13, 2015 Hi John, welcome to the forum I'll answer your questions in order. If you click on the circle, there will be no update button if it is a server. Do you have auto-ping ticked? It sounds like the host could be switching when the game starts and the auto-ping is changing to ping the right thing. This is kind of related to point two but if it was 3000miles away it sounds like you might not have set up the GeoFilter correctly. Could you post the information from here - most importantly a screen shot of the whole GeoFilter including the top and bottom
lukasz
Wlecome to the DUMA ARMY buddy. Like Crossy sad its sound like Geo filter settings my by off. So posting this pictures will be grate thing to move foward. I can only add to what already been sad about point 1. AW runs most of the time on dedicated servers for most ofnthe people. At the moment only way you can say witch is witch is that you cany rate p2p host but you canot rate dedicated servers. Lastly i suggest checking the routers firmware. Just scroll down to the bottom of routers page should be 1.03.4 if you have anything less just follow this linkhttp://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=manual_update
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2015 Hey welcome to the forum! Yeah it doesn't sound like the Geo-filter is set up correctly, ensure the button under the device you've selected says 'disable' this means its enabled. Also after you've upgraded go to settings > miscellaneous and ensure auto & bleeding edge are ticked and applied.
john22rob
i am on version 1.03.3 and this is the latest full version of the routers firmware? auto & bleeding edge are ticked and applied
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2015 The latest version is 1.03.4 you can follow the instructions to upgrade here http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=manual_update Your radius is quite small, I'd put it to at least 1000km, see how you get on with that and let us know
john22rob
ive upgraded the firmware thank you the raidus is small so it picks up a UK host. your like lightening on this forum, thanks!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2015 My concern is that its too small which is why you may be experiencing some issues, at least untick strict mode so that some dedis close to your radius will be allowed. Thanks
john22rob
i unticked strict and i ended up on a server 7500km away
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2015 Its probably just mis located, whats the ping to it?
john22rob
the ping was around 30ms. if its miss located then what have i paid for? i could guess myself. changed the radius to 1000km, server in Germany, 20ms ping and played as bad as it gets

IP's change all the time so we have to constantly add them to the cloud and then push them back to you. Its still working as its getting you a low ping host, just visually appears elsewhere when it is not. Well thats a very good ping. I'd suggest you run the Internet Diagnosis tool on the R1 and see what results you get because 20ms is a great ping so you shouldn't be lagging. Could you add the ID of that far away host please to this thread so we can update it http://forum.netduma.com/topic/1723-cloud-incorrect-locations/page-
