BIG__DOG
Hi. That all depends on wether or not sky uses PPPoE connection protocol, if not then you will not need to input a username and password to connect. you will need to disable some features on your sky hub (it is not a modem but a modem router they supply you) such as WIFI and upnp and adding the ip address of the XR500 to the DMZ of your sky router. Thefeatures that you disabled will then be enabled on your XR500. If you need assistance doing this when you have sky broadband installed let us know as we are happy to help. There are sky users on this forum that will be happy to help also.

It is just a case of turning on the sky router connecting the two via Ethernet rebooting the XR 500, putting your XR500 WAN IP into the Sky routers DMZ, then enter your new bandwidth into the congestion control and you are good to go.
