HELP BULLET REG

Recommended Posts

Hey guys i live in turkey/istanbul i dont have fibre in my are right now so my base ping is 12 47down 4up the problem is my bullet reg on shooting games are awful you guys may think its about my ping but its not for example on fortnite i get 70-80 ping on a uk server and 40-60 on the german server sometimes german servers are good for me but its so inconsistent even on call of duty private matches people shoots me much easier on my own host. Can you guys tell me any settings i could do and make it any better . Also i always used the geo filter and keept the bufferbloat on %70 and Ps4 on hyper traffic

Base ping of 12 is very good. Mine is only 5ms less and I'm on fibre.

As for your congestion slider settings... experiment. 70/70 has never worked for me on any CoD game so maybe not working out for you neither.

You could run a PingPlotter test wired to a PC to test your line quality - you might have bad spikes / jitter leading to bad gameplay. Hit registration is more a measure of other players pings - if your ping is good you'll generally be having a better experience than you would with a higher ping. If you've got a 20ms ping and go against a player with a 150ms ping though, the server is going to favour one of you over the other. Some of the time you'll experience really bad hit detection as a result.

I hope this makes sense!

How does it play without hyper traffic? Personally hyper has a negative impact for me.

Are you a household if heavy users?

Try both preactive and reactive during a match to see which feels better. Reactive always feels like I'm behind compared to preemptive.

CoDs are upload sensitive. You are only 4mb up so unlikely to be penalised for that. You might need to bring that figure lower to keep it stable. As N3CRO said experiment. Personally I'd leave download at 70 and play around with upload.

Run ping plotter whilst you game if you can

That's pretty good if you can get 40-60 to Germany. If you can (or if you play any other shooter games such as CoD) try locating and setting up the filter for more local servers. You can do a scan when connecting to online services by ticking show dormant hosts, disabling the geofilter and then checking the map for the location of every Euro server. If you're lucky there might be one in Italy or somewhere near there for Fortnite. For comparison I get around 60ms (used to be 50ms for some reason) to Moscow in CoD and that's 1000km further than the distance between Istanbul and Milan, for example, so anything in central or south/east Europe should be better for you than going all the way across to the UK.

As above, set your congestion control sliders between 70% (you could try between 60-90% for further experimenting, as your upload is quite low but not too low) and try a game on preemptive before trying one on reactive to see if either works better. I'm guessing your Internet is sold as 50 down 5 up, and that's pretty standard all over the world especially for cable. Alternatively you could leave your sliders at 100% and just put your PS4 in hyper lane with the PSN service to keep your full bandwidth without having to deal with any downsides of that. Good luck.
