TheNewEra
As of the last couple of month i've been working away quite a bit, 5,6,7 days at a time on a few different occasions. On getting back i've been playing online again and the game play on games such as fifa, fortnite, rocket league and battlefield has felt so much smoother, quicker and more responsive. But after a couple of days of playing it goes back to normal, sluggish game play, slow and less responsive. Use to just think it was server issues but this has happened 3x in a row and have arrived back home on different days of the week and each time, fine for a couple of days then drops off. Been told BT don't throttle connections and haven't seen any drops in speed, just seems the more i use the poorer it is, sluggish game play being the main issue. Interested to see if anybody has any ideas to where the problem may lie? xbox one x gaming monitor - 1ms BT Infinity 2 wired Upload - 10 Download - 44 Latency on xbox - 20 Netuma R1 ping test - 14ms Any help would be appreciated thanks! BENORMOUS
Ive experienced this and still do to this day,ok for a while then bam starts feeling terrible, ive allways thought that my line builds up errors after playing a while then starts acting up,never acually been able to tell with my OR modem as i cant access stats,my line last sunday night started feeling a little off but ive worked away all week jumped on yesterday and it felt great again, its not a R1 problem and to rule it out you could perhaps unplug it from the wall for half hour give it a cold reboot

N3CR0
pingplotter results https://imgur.com/a/0W3WNQE I'd say that looks just fine. Pretty much no jitter, no spikes.
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted June 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted June 16, 2018 Yes that line looks very stable. The fact you feel gaming is consistently slower across multiple games, makes me think your line is perhaps degrading at certain times. Next time you think it’s happening, could you rerun the line test. Obviously also make sure you have your QoS setup in case other people in your home are causing you to lag. It’s best to have 70% on both sliders on Anti-Flood to start off with.
