N3CR0 Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 You wanted a nose at my line stats. Despite the raise in ping, I'm still on the fast path and Pingplotter shows no spikes and less than 1ms jitter. My speed before the ping raise was 76d 20u.
BENORMOUS Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Stats look just like mine except i get a little bit more speed and my connection is horrible how is yours N3CRO?
N3CR0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 What does a speed test show you 75mb? Before all this my sync speed was 80mb down (got 76mb actual) 20mb up (17mb actual) I should note that the crackling on the phone line seems to have gone now. Checked several times yesturday and today, sounds as it should. EDIT : Read your question wrong lol. Now, speed test shows 44mb down, 17mb up. I'm on BT Infinity 1, we 'had' the speed boost so are on the 80/20 package.
N3CR0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 Stats look just like mine except i get a little bit more speed and my connection is horrible how is yours N3CRO? Stable as stable gets according to Pingplotter. I have some sort of line issue as I should be syncing 80mb down and my base ping is 22ms, should be 7ms.
Zennon Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Yeah that's why I asked you should be syncing max throughput with those stat's but I noticed the data rate is low. It probably has not rained for a few days there?

Zennon Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 When I had a line fault, it turned out that my line went into a underground duct and the duct had not been water proofed.

Despite the raise in ping, I'm still on the fast path and Pingplotter shows no spikes and less than 1ms jitter. My speed before the ping raise was 76d 20u. Your noise stats look almost identical to mine through a Smart Hub! My data rate was 55000/10000 (what I pay for) and my max data rate was only 64000/25000, yet yours is 100Mb+ for download and you're only getting 47Mb? Zennon, is it possible his connection is being rerouted from a different cab or is that impossible and never done? Lower speed and suddenly higher latency but no interleaving seems barmy. Edit: my stats through a new TP Link modem. Slightly different wording and separate download and upload, as well as a higher margin compared to the Smart Hub. I don't really want to dig the SH out to check the difference lol

Lower speed and suddenly higher latency but no interleaving seems barmy. He has a line issue, crackling on the phone line, that is why he's throughput is shot. If it has passed N3CR0 then the DLM should sort it, but I think it needs BT to fix it as it wouldn't just pass.
N3CR0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 When I had a line fault, it turned out that my line went into a underground duct and the duct had not been water proofed. When I had this problem last time, I'm sure they said they had replaced the ducting.
N3CR0 Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 Lower speed and suddenly higher latency but no interleaving seems barmy. Last time I had this problem, it stayed on Fast Path even then. Yet higher ping, higher SNR and loss of speed :/

Shame my memory is early onset dementia level because I just can't recall what that was supposed to be lol But yeah, I've never heard of more than a 50% increase in base latency while still on fast path. Maybe I'm still just a DSL noob.
Zennon Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 If it stays stable with low error's you will get your ping and width back in up to 9 days N3C. I have a feeling that the router is showing a false positive and you are on interleaving.

Zennon Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Your profile may be stuck, if it has been over 9 days without a reboot then i would turn off your modem for 30 minutes and then turn it back on and check your sync.
BENORMOUS Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Must have recently rebooted because your system uptime only shows 5 mins, system uptime i think is different to network uptime but i suppose if your hub as been down then so has the network all together, leave it up for a while mate

I use a Draytek Vigor 130 which tells you nothing.

N3CR0 Posted January 18, 2018 Author Posted January 18, 2018 For 30 mins though to break the handshake with the cabinet and so it see it as a power down and not a drop. I did yesturday. Unplugged the Draytek, left it 30 mins then plugged in the HH then done the same in reverse waiting 30 mins again.
