Ethernet Ports Not Working, but show connectivity via lights.

If the Ethernet lights are showing, the power adapter isn't at fault here. You're also able to access the Interface which rules it out.

Connect the Netduma directly to the Modem - does it connect to the Internet that way?

He could only connect through wifi, no wired connections at all. Doesn't get a WAN IP connected to the modem

Okay to confirm or rule out if the ports or ethernet cables are the cause and nothing else, disconnect the R1 from the Nighthawk.

So just power is connected to it. Then connect an ethernet cable to each port and the other end into your PC, in command prompt do ipconfig, then ping the IP of the gateway that it gives. Do that for each port and see which successfully ping or not.

PC connected to Nighthawk:

PC connected to Ports 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Netduma. (Power cycles done each time.)

Then it gets interesting, but not helpful. Modem connected to Port 2 of Nighthawk and PC connected to Port 3 of Nighthawk.

I HAD internet here, but could not reach the Netduma or listed Gateway.

So I plugged the Modem back into Port 1, but didn't power cycle. Hoping I kicked something off, but nope. Power cycle yielded the same result.

Plugged PC directly into modem without power cycling.

Got that same weird Gateway, but I had internet.

Power cycled modem and I was back to normal looking ipconfig.

Does anyone make anything of any of that?

No, I have tried that many times too. When my original setup didn't work, through the Nighthawk, I tired this.

Try giving your PC a static IP in the adapter settings...

Also disable IPv6, just uncheck the box:

I've seen that before and usually a factor reset using the button at the back with nothing but power plugged in should fix it. Try that then do the test I said again, remove your static IP and see if it gives the expected 192.168.88.1 as the gateway

I did about ten factory resets before I even came to these forums.

Will try again...

And showed not gateway at all. Reset ethernet adapter with Windows and rebooted. I can't ipconfig /release, because it says there is not Gateway.

Again I appreciate the help from everyone, but I am kinda reaching the ropes end at this point. Are there any repair options? Or am I to just remember my $200 fondly for the Call of Duty season and a half I used it?

Alright we've exhausted every possible solution now. If you email [email protected] with your order number and a link to this thread, we'll get your router replaced for you :)
