netdumaforumname
Getting 20% packet loss while using mumble. I used WinMTR and i'm seeing 92% packet loss at my external IP. I contacted my ISP and they said there is no issue on their end. I have congestion control at 100% up/down, turbo mode enabled, deep packet off, IPV6 off in lan/wan. Help would be appreciated. BIG__DOG
use pingplotter to trace the packet loss. disable every device apart from the pc you are on and make sure you test it over ethernet. Isp's will always tell you there is no issue at their end. so long as you keep paying they don't give a damn. if you are testing over wifi then packet loss is gonna happen more often than not! netdumaforumname
I am using a wired connection. All devices are disabled apart from the PC i am on. Tested on ethernet. Packet loss appears to be at the destination server (27% packet loss on the last hop), but no one else connected to this mumble server is having an issue. Furthermore, I have 0% packet loss "from client" and 23.66% packet loss "to client" in mumble. So it appears to be an issue with receiving packets, not sending. If you could post a screenshot of that pingplotter test that would help out greatly. Big Dog is right in saying your ISP won't really take the blame until they're presented with evidence, so a pingplotter screenshot will help you there as well. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 11, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! Out of interest can you turn turbo mode off and change to the preemptive algorithm on congestion control and let me know if the issue persists.
