Sprazyyy
I recently moved and had to get a new Gateway from Comcast, so I have to set up my gateway again to go into bridge mode so that I can use that as my modem and use my Netduma as my router. When I plug my Netduma into my gateway, it isn't receiving an internet signal while my gateway is in bridge mode, but when it's out of bridge mode my Netduma hooks up to it perfectly fine. I know it's not the Ethernet cord that i'm using because while my gateway is in bridge mode, I can hook my laptop up to it and it works perfectly fine. Some help would be greatly appreciated! First what is the model of the modem? They are notorious for causing high ping and jitter... Second, once it's in bridge mode connect the netduma to port 1 on the modem and then quickly press the reset button on the back of the modem. DO NOT HOLD IT, holding it will reset it to factory settings. Your best bet is to buy your own modem though. Never had any luck with those all in one modem/router combos from Comcast. Especially their new one. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/20681-compatibleincompatible-modems/

I've tried power cycling the gateway when I put it into bridge mode, but nothing I do seems to work.

bagsta69
Hey Sprazyyy, Modbox knows of what he speaks. He has done a lot of research into this.
iAmMoDBoX
But it should work in bridge mode. I ran mine like that for a few days when I had the 3941. As long as I restarted the modem it connected without a problem. That modem uses the intel puma 6 chipset which was bugged causing huge ping spikes. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/12/03/intel_puma_chipset_firmware_fix/
ColonicBoom
Would it not just be the IP address changes when it goes into 'bridge'? My Virgin Media hub (UK) used to do that when you changed between router mode and modem mode. I just needed to unplug the Netduma, reboot the hub and wait for 5 mins, then plug the Netduma back in again.

Sprazyyy
UPDATE: So I tried the advice given and it didn't work. I put it in bridge mode, connected the router and then pressed the reset button, but to no avail. I'm getting a new gateway in the mail to see if just maybe that gateway got messed up when we had an outage here a few weeks ago. I will let you know if getting the new gateway fixes anything. Worst comes to worst, i'll just have to buy a regular modem.
iAmMoDBoX
Worst comes to worst, i'll just have to buy a regular modem. You're better off doing that honestly. The 3941 has crazy ping issue. You can ping the modem and it has a roller coaster ping of ping times.
