I guess when im in a lobby and im constantly thrown in and out of the same lobby, that's SBMM? If so are those games p2p or dedicated servers? I never have this issue on Blops2.

You will probably see a padlock when this happens. If you expand your GeoFilter to included the padlock it should't happen anymore. You can also disable strict mode that will stop it happening also but you will connect to servers outside of your GeoFilter.

I much prefer to just wait 30 seconds without searching to keep my tight geo settings to get better matches.

But we all do things differently :)

Yeah, I agree with you :) I prefer to keep everything inside my GeoFilter, but I just thought it would be a solution if the OP wanted one :)

@Itohmas: Here is some more info: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=why_am_i_getting_booted_from_the_lobby_game:)

Do you see any padlocks on the GeoFilter when you get booted? :)

Yes but if ive got 2 within my region, why would it try to put me in one 1200km away?

Because the game can do things that make no sense. If thats the one it want to connect you to and the Duma is blocking it the you will get lobby booting. Maybe if you wait long enough it will give up and try to connect you to one within your GeoFilter.

Yea this game does some crazy stuff. Honestly if the connection for the Blops3 beta is bad, not sure ill buy the game. It seems as if these developers doesn't want to fix the connection. Instead of connecting ppl who are near each other via p2p they connected ppl thousand of miles away. They then throw in dedicated servers which are just as bad if not worse. Not to mention they give host to ppl with terrible connections and wonder why ppl complain about the connection

It's the awesome coding they've done

Especially when i look a certain way and turn my shoulder only to die by the way i just looked. Killcam shows me looking at him and turning 180 degrees while running off before he shoots me.

Skill based matchmaking , I was sure they would do a u turn like Treyarc did within a month of bops 2, but no its still there in full force .

I have been playing mw 3 loads lately and I got forced into playing AW with friends last night and wow it looks very cartoonish with a bad depth of field and bad hit detection compared to the old games.

Its mad but mw3 looks way better to me, yes a few ruff edges but in all a much better immersive experience just like mw and the two bops games (bops 2 is cartoonish though :( )

The most annoying thing about AW SBMM is it doesn't even produce tight games, more often than not it's a whitewash by one team.  Sometimes it's even obvious from the lobby that it's gonna be one of those games one side all prestige masters and the other side (which I always seem to be on) full of n00bs and a couple of decent players.

I don't know what criteria the SBMM uses but if it's obvious with the naked eye and a quick glance at the team split the game will be one sided how the hell are they even calculating it?

The upshot is we suffer with crap matchmaking and crappy connections too..  Well done sledgehammer, give yourselves a cookie

It could be teams that do not have their tag showing , we play like that.

Its sad when you got 48-7 tdm and win by 5 points! But yea you can kind of tell how the game will turn out before it starts. I see the reason why ppl play tdm all the time. My experience is that its less sweaty than dom lobbies. Idk how ppl are going 3-15 or 4-20 but yet its skillbased?

Because the location of the servers on the map isn't necessarily where it is really located. I'm always put on servers in Seattle, yet I ping less than 20ms to them which is impossible from New Jersey.

Have you put that ID in the wrong location thread? :)

I have heard here is a skill tree so as you get better there is always a higher tree players in the lobby as you move up resulting in getting your arse handed to you for a while until you man up.

That's alot of IDs lol every single game I play is in a Seattle server... But I'm speaking in general and for a legal reason I'm sure the netduma isn't allowed to show the exact location of every server.

Just put one of the IDs in there. Although I'm not sure, I think it is possible to identify a cluster of servers with just 1 ID. But maybe you could just collect them up then every week or so just paste them in.

Its not a legal issue I don't think. The location information is all public. Although not too accurate -  without contacting the ISP with a court order, it is not possible to get a precise location of something via the IP Address.
