Victor-Yout
maybe you have same issues like me: i have an open nat type and when i play mw3/bo2 on the ps3 the whole gameplay lags. i have rebuilt the database, reset everything and built in a new hdd. a friend of mine has also the same problems and open nat. another one has a middle nat type and it runs smooth like next gen gameplay. so i would like to test the game with a middle nat type. i have disabled upnp and port forward but got a moderate nat type. does anyone know how to get a middle nat type, which ports i have to forward? ColonicBoom
I don't know anything about PS4 specifically as I don't have one but the NAT shouldn't affect the smoothness of the game. It should only affect parties (joining) and communication (chat).
Victor-Yout
I tested it again and same result. With open nat there the games runs laggy, sometimes it slows extremly down when players connect and has some sort of input lag. With moderate nat it runs way better. A friend has the exact same problems with his open nat. Regardless what the ping is. Also my hit detection is not worse either with the open nat, its just the lag. I only talk about mw3 or about the ps3 in general, no problems on next gen console. I know it sounds very unique, but maybe there is someone who experiences the same. I had no issues in the first release years wirh mw3. But i started to think about what could cause the issue now. Could the servers of the old gen gone shit? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2017 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2017 My guess is that maybe due to the fact you're not able to connect with strict NAT players - who are likely to be the ones with a generally worse connection you have a better time than when on an open NAT as you would be able to connect to those strict NAT players.
