Ping assist

What is this even for? I set it low and keep getting people with very high pings? I am getting very frustrated. Supposed to be easy and keep me from connecting to these people!

Ping Assist relates to your ping to the host/dedi.

It doesn't relate to the other players in the lobby.

Why am I still having the same gaming experiences? Showing other users with 60 and sometimes more.

Ping Assist will connect you to a server that has that ping or lower.

 

Anyone else with whatever ping they have can still connect to that same server you are on.

I used this video starting at about the 7:30 mark on how to best set your netduma. I also use the built in browser on the actual PS4 itself to do the speed tests.

I wouldn't recommend doing the test on a console's browser (laptop over ethernet for me every time) but the video is worth a watch

You cannot prevent other people from joining a dedicated server. Been connected to the closest dedicated server gives you the advantage as your ping will be much lower than others. However, given that CoD uses a hybrid system most players should actually reside inside your radius. 

 

Sounds like you may have it setup incorrectly. Please provide us with the screenshots from this guide and we'll be able to help optimise your settings.
