bagsta69
Hi yall, I have been getting daft high scores on the ping at hop 1 on PP, I mean like 450-400000+ but still 25 MS at destination. So I tried it on my second PC and was getting the expected 0.4-1 MS. So I changed cables out rebooted R1 etc all to no avail. Then I thought lets try it wireless and see what we get. However after clicking on the network icon no networks popped up for me to join. So I rebooted the PC and hey presto all back to working fine. So turning it off and on again really does have its benefits but could anybody shed some light on why this was happening at hop 1 in the first place? Ok so now its creeping back up again on machine 1 whilst the other is still fine. Should I use the other machine to run the R1 UI off?

bagsta69
As you can see hop1 is averaging around 20 with a high of 1287 on my 2nd machine I am getting average of 1.4 with a high of
ColonicBoom
Strange, not sure myself... Final hop is fine so probs nothing to worry about. When the masses are out at the end of the day I'm sure they'll have a more useful answer
bagsta69
It more than likely my pc is taking a dump, its been on pretty much 24/7 since windows 7 came out apart from holidays so it doesn't really owe me much. I might put it out to pasture and just use it as a mail thing.
Zennon
Check the Ethernet cable and the LAN driver.
bagsta69
Cheers Z, Changing the cables was the first thing I did, I wouldn't know what a lan driver was if I was standing on one (keeping it clean lol)
Zennon
The driver for your wired internet you can find it in the device manger in windows.
iAmMoDBoX
Switch ports on the R1 to eliminate any problems with that first... If it's still happening then I'd say it's definitely your computer's ethernet/wifi card going bad.
