pegsazeus
Hi Everyone, i was just wondering if the netduma would be worth it really for me? i have 13 ping 300mb down 15 up and a second internet of 15 ping 63mb down and 18 up im from the UK and play quite alot of wagers etc, when i played back mw3 i was the biggest warrior on like 10mb down 1 up, but since ive moved literally down the road since ghosts i have been having such trouble with getting absolutely trashed on, i watch kill cams thinking "oh he must of just been preaiming me" etc as they have just melted me, i go to check the kill cam and they were sprinting and windmill a couple of bullets then hit me, yet on my screen ive snapped on put 7 bullets into someone for them to fly in the air and 2 bullet me, its getting to abit of a situation to the fact that since blops2 ive always played at a high competitive level been able to beat some UK pro teams and most Top AM teams but since its just been getting worse and worse ive slowly died out of the scene abit and just resorted to SnD, just to clear up i know whats the difference between be getting crapped on and a fair gunfight when i went to egl11 even though i said i was a warrior i noticed no massive differences between lan and online if anything lan was fairer in my favor and recently going to little events in my local area playing against teammates of mine which are very talented its always been fair and online is just not worth it for me anymore the real question i wanted to actually ask without giving you the life story, will this make a difference to me considering i play mostly in private matches Regards Peg PS if you want to see me getting crapped on because of my connection dont worry i'll post the videos ive taken of them
abc123
Did you buy a new TV/Gaming Monitor? I assume you are experiencing what is called Input lag.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted December 13, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted December 13, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! The Netduma R1 can still help you out in private matches by giving you control over local congestion, which is always a main cause of lag. You could hook all your devices up to the Netduma, wire up your console, and give your console all the priority it needs to stop local congestion from causing you grief. The Host Filtering (Geofilter) won't be needed for private matches, but it'll always be there if you want to play matchmaking. Netduma is the only router on the planet which gives you solutions to lag, so it's the only and best option for competitive gaming.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 14, 2016 i have a line to myself so i dont think congestion would be a issue would it? If there are any other devices on that line they can cause local congestion. Even just web browsing can cause mini spikes. Your 13/15ms ping is your base ping. Before you connect to anything thats your ping. So your game ping will be different and always higher than that. Depending on where your opponents are based in a private match this could vary a lot. Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted December 14, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted December 14, 2016 If you have your own line and just that console is connected, then you're very unlikely to have any local congestion; likewise if you're only playing private matches, there's no need to use the Geofilter, so it's probably not needed for that line. However, if you ever play public matches, or want shared bandwidth on your other line for local devices, then the Netduma would definitely benefit you there. It depends how you use it in your case, since you don't play standard matchmaking
iAmMoDBoX
The game is broken. It's been proven in multiple tests that it does not run right and there are serious problems with the netcode of almost all COD games since MW2. I personally believe it is done intentionally to make it fair for everyone, but that's a different topic... In your case, with a dedicated line and private matches I'd say no the Netduma offers little to no benefit to you other than being an information tool to see your exact ping to the host and other players in game (which can be very useful at times). I personally do this when I'm playing GameBattles matches and the host sucks. That's up to you to decide if it's worth it. As far as your line goes, I would make sure it's a stable connection by running a ping plotter test for a day. Make sure there's no jitter and crazy lag spikes. Also, if you can, lower your speed to the lowest possible because I personally believe the netcode favors people with slower upload speeds. This is what I manage to do when I throttle my upload to 200 Kbps:
