RoyDavis77
After using netalyzr for some network troubleshooting, i found that i am getting thousands of reordered packets on both downlink and uplink. Would this cause any problems on my network? If so what could be the cause and is there anything i can do to mitigate it? After some brief research, i came across some suggestions that it is related to ip fragmentation due to incorrect mtu settings, but i have done the DOS mtu test and i am using the correct mtu size of 1500. Could it be a side effect of the FQ Codel queue discipline?
Alex49H
That's an interesting question. Would like to see the response.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 13, 2016 The only reordering should come from hyper-lane which only occurs in the upload direction. The most likely cause is some other middlebox between you and the netanalyzr server.

Knomax
MTU depends at first from the protocol your ISP provides you to establish the connection...etc PPPoE...PPPoA. Then don't forget that every ethernet or wireless device has different MTU limit and must set up separately.
