Giving up on netduma. Tried everything from ideas of forums SIM's settings on youtube. Nothing stops the lag as promised in advert for duma.

Tried everything Infinite warfare is unplayable. Sick of fucking around with settings day in day out. Geo settings constantly stick me in lobbies with laggy dutch or french. My internet is golden bt even installed brand new line brand new copper cabinet to house. Get 70 down 29 up.  A Plus buffer/speed/quality DSL reports. Someone help me before this thing gets Ebayed because it certainly doesn't help me. If someone is gonna tell me that its all Infinity/Activisions fault then how does this router support its claim about Dominating lag.

It allows you to connect to the nearest dedicated server and not to one across the globe which in turn gives you lower ping which results in less lag. That doesn't mean it's going to stop you from connecting with 'laggy dutch or french' people because they also connect to the same dedicated server as you. The state of the game is down to Infinity Ward and Activision, if you were to play a game where the connections are peer to peer or even for P2P connection on cod then you'll see the true power of the netduma along with the ability to control congestion on your network.

Also, it doesn't matter that you have 70 down and 29 up, that doesn't determine how good your connection to the dedicated server will be, Ping is King.

Gotcha so even though i follow frazers advice and set ping to 0 and reset screen set geo for uk only etc and then it still puts me on a dedi dutch or french server thats my fault. And i don't remember it saying your ping has to a particular number in the advertising. By your logic cod players shouldn't bother with this router then?

No, because I have my geo filter set exactly the same. Ping assist set to 0, circle over the UK only and strict mode enabled and I NEVER connect to dedis outside of my range regardless of what I'm playing.

They advertised that you can dominate lag and that's exactly what it does when used correctly. If you knew anything about online gaming then you'd know that ping is what matters the most.

Cod players should bother with the Duma, anybody who plays online games and wants to manage their connections on their network should invest in the Duma.

everyone put your guns down, let's just talk.

If you have geo-filter setup like this:

Peer Ping: Disabled

Strict Mode: Enabled

Filter by Distance: ~1000km

Ping Assist: 0ms

And enable it for the device you are using, this should work.

If it isn't then can you tell me exactly what game you are playing?  Are you connecting to dedicated servers outside the filter? temp ban them

TBH I got better in COD when I finally understood the respawn pattern. R1 didn't help much. It was just an "advisor" for me as to where I'm connected to, my ping etc.

I have PSN friends with below averege Internet connections that dominate the game. No Dumas no nothing.

MrAverage try TF|2. A very consistent and well balanced game.

I've connected to the Dutch/French lobbies and I've found they played pretty well on Infinite Warfare, it seems to have much better matchmaking (similar peer pings) compared to BO3 at least. I have run into problems playing Scandinavian players though. But that's not their fault or the Netduma's (or mine).

I've only seen a handful of visibly skippy players so far. Compared to BO3, it's miraculous, I rarely saw a lobby without at least one horribly laggy player in that.

In defence of the continental brothers and sisters...

The average Dutch/French/German connection is decent too, it's as good as it is in the UK at least.

Obviously there are people out in the sticks (my family live in the middle of nowhere in France) with horrible connections but that's no different to the countryside connections in the UK.

To answer your question:

It's not your fault, it's not the Netduma's fault. It does not dictate who can join your lobby at all, only which lobbies you can join.

Maybe you could post up a video of the lag?

I'm really seeing very little lag at all on Xbox and the hit-detection for the vast majority of IW games is crispy.

Most of the people and videos I've seen complain about hit-detection (not just in IW) are generally suffering from the 'no-thumbs effect', they don't see hit detection because they are hitting thin air rather than the target.

That's not to say that that means you though. I find myself complaining about the same thing until I watch things back.

First off, most of the time it needs patience to optimize the right settings. Especially when it comes to gaming.

What platform do you play on ? XBONE, PS4 or PC ?

How are you connecting ? Wired or Wifi ?

What's your base ping with and without the Netduma connected ?

-> Windows-key -> "cmd" -> tracert 8.8.8.8

-> Look at the first hop after your modem/gateway/Netduma. That's your base ping.

How does your jitter look like ? You could make a test here: http://www.dslreports.com/tools/pingtest

Is Call Of Duty the only game you play ? How do other multiplayer games play with your Netduma.

I'm sure there's a chance that your issues get ironed out.

Hi buddy, I've also given up on Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare, because the connection quality is just a mess.

I guess it takes some more patches from Actision/Infinity to fix the netcode issues and the cheating on PC.

But, TF2 is just a great game. I've bought it for PC a few days ago and prior I had the chance to play it

on my buddy's PC at home. TF2 is great and shows how a netcode should work.

My closest datacenter is in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, and the ping is 23ms.

So it sounds like you're connecting to a UK dedicated but there are some dutch players connecting to it? We can't control their connections. The router connects you to the closest server which it sounds like its doing. Whats the average ping to the server as shown by the duma?

Please post the screenshots from this guide and we can help optimise your settings http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022425-lag-support-instructions-to-post-on-the-forum-
