Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 17, 2016 Administrators Posted November 17, 2016 Just thought I would give an update to everyone on how Titanfall 2 works with the R1. TF2 is fortunate in that you can select your own servers to play on - you can also see the latency you have to each of these servers in the menu when you make your selection. What does that mean in terms of Geo-filter support? In terms of servers appearing on the map it does this without issue. However, you cannot force a different server using the Geo-filter unless you have chosen that server in TF2 first. That means there is no need to have the Geo-filter enabled when playing the game - just choose the closest/lowest ping server to you before playing. You still can however ping the server during playing with the Geo-filter even with it disabled. So for TF2 at least the Geo-filter is more used as a diagnostic tool. You can still of course use all the congestion control features to ensure you have the lowest possible ping and a stable connection.
KayOneX-24 Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Wow, so many servers available in TF2. I think I should get the game, too. Thank you very much for the update.
PharmDawgg Posted November 17, 2016 Posted November 17, 2016 Got it and believe me when I say it is a great game.
KayOneX-24 Posted November 19, 2016 Posted November 19, 2016 Great. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Especially, since the last CoD games are and the new BF1 is a real Alt+F4 game for me.
