b00stg0d
So at 5-6pm CST I was fine played several matches, got a match right away maybe forced out of 2-3 full lobbies by the duma before it loaded a match. Low ping 18-24ms according to Duma, games went very well. Now I CANNOT get any internet connection through the fucking router if I enable the Geo-Filter. WTF! I'm seriously about a day (been 6 now waiting for a fix) away form selling both of mine on eBay while used prices are still high. I am easy going but this is getting old. If I have to disable all the features in order to get a match then what's the point of the netduma? I only use the geo-filter. And it has been working fine for over a year until the last few months and the filter has gone haywire. Having to reset and fiddle with the settings constantly for the last few months is only 'dominating lag' by keeping me form playing the games that brought me to your doorstep to purchase the router in the first place. When I enable the filter I lose all connection to the internet. I can sit here and turn it off and on and either complete a PS4 speedtest with it OFF or fail at internet Connection with it ON. II N3MES1S II
Try opening the geo filter all the way and rebooting your modem and the netduma. First the modem and let it boot completely and once it does then boot up the netduma. Launch the game and if you want to use the geo filter to reduce distance then apply it once the game is up and running. Wait a couple of minutes and then search for a match, remember if you put the ping assist anything above 0 it might give you a host outside of the geo range. b00stg0d
OK so if I expand my filter to cover the entire world I can successfully perform a connection test. why? And what is being blocked outside the filter range that would keep me from doing an internet connection test?
II N3MES1S II
Well the geo filter should not be used on a pc or laptop unless you made them a service to use the geo filter. So if you use a pc for gaming then yea it would cause issues because you are blocking your connection from anything outside the geo filter. Me personally never had issues with the geo since only consoles use it and everything else doesnt. I usually have my geo set to 200 miles and ping assist set to 0. The most I put my ping assist is 35ms but then I can get put into lobbies 5k miles away.
b00stg0d
So basically I expanded my area slowly until it would allow a connection test to perform successfully and found that if this server isn't within my geo-filter while it's ON then I get shafted. What does this mean? Is this mis-located or some new authentication server?

I'm confused as to what you mean I guess.
II N3MES1S II
Is that a server you see when in a game or when doing a speed test on your laptop?

b00stg0d
Is that a server you see when in a game or when doing a speed test on your laptop? Its a server I see when I load a game. and when I do a speedtest form the ps4. So new information. If I have filter enabled AND move my radius where this particular server is outside of the filter range it's DOA, if I raise PA to 33 everything works. So I can make my connection test a success by placing the filter on top of that marker or by raising PA to 33ms. So that is an important server I assume. II N3MES1S II
That would be a playstation server most likely. Always do speedtests from your laptop though.
II N3MES1S II
Also everything looks good from the images you posted. So just set your geo filter for the playstation however you like and use your laptop to do the speedtests. If you want you can open the geo all the way and set the ping assist to 0 then you should get the lowest ping to host available. Best results would be to put the home location where you actually are and then open it up to 200-400 miles with P.A. set to

I haven't ever had any issues until the last few months. You can check my posts. And all of my issues posted were shortly followed by a cloud update or mass of issues from others with the same type of scenario. I have played since summer of 2015 with a netduma and had zero issues with my setup. I ALWAYS use the PA set at 33ms, and geo-filter in the ocean. Unless I want to play in a specific area outside of the norm then I slide the PA to 0 and move my filter to where I want to play increase the radius to 400-500 miles and wait 2 minutes for anti-cheat and role. Well all that stopped working around maybe August of this year. Nobody has answers.
b00stg0d
That would be a playstation server most likely. Always do speedtests from your laptop though. That makes no sense, sorry. I did the speedtest to test if I had a network connection. My laptop has nothing to do with my PS4 connectivity. The whole purpose was that the duma was blocking out my ps4, not my laptop, so in effect if I were speedtesting on my laptop I still ahd service since the duma isn't filtering my laptops connection out. Make sense?

So yes it will have issues with the browser doing the speedtest through the playstation.

b00stg0d
So basically someone has fucked up. Fraser is giving answers that don't make sense. Some work as normal, point in case above, then he tells me, "don't rely on PA alone." OK Then what is the point of hard coding CoD ultimate profile or profiles at all if from time to time we can "rely" on them? I know how this router works man it's not complicated at all. It's built in a way that simpletons can take advantage of QoS and the one state of the art tool IP filtering, with ease of use, ie; sliders. Yet, none of this works for everyone all the time. Sounds like a need for a department of coders instead of compartments.
Slipknot31286sic6
I think they. Jus don't know. We bought the product. Now we at a loss till they figure it out. Don't think any of them will venture own IW or test this. Jus assume all cod are the same.... Oh new servers... OK we'll add them. Wait 4 hours and go outside. b00stg0d
But hell they aren't even adding the new IDs to the cloud. I sent some in and they aren't even updated. And Fraser is giving replies like " Sounds like you have it sorted out, let us know" If I am having to turn off features, can't use PA assist which nullifies the the COD Ultimate profile and is my primary use for this overpriced paperweight then it's not fixed. As of right now, I have an ID that supposedly sits in the middle of a Kansas Corn field that if I don;t have my geo-filter sitting on top of it I cannot even complete a network connection test successfully, Fraser didn't say a word about it. We are getting hosed. In reality it kind of cracks me up. They claim it's state of the art, best this best that when in reality it's lame in it's delivery, application and execution. That funniest fact is the 2015 yearly asset report shows they are valued at 36000 US dollars give or take. That's laughable. Sad shit really. 36000 haha I shit out 36000 in fuel bills every 12 weeks. I only have an xbox otherwise I would party up with you and show how it works. I have no issues with the features not working. Try this out and let me know what happens. Switch the profile from COD ultimate to the default gaming profile. Place the location to where you actually live. Open the geo filter to whatever distance you would like to cover. (test with 200-500 miles) Set the ping to zero and launch a match. Wait until you get into a lobby and dont back out. (you will either become host or it will put you in a match inside your geo) Dont care about the distance? Then leave your geo alone and just increase the P.A. to 35-50 That will get you into lobbies possibly outside of your geo filter but also inside the geo filter Want to reduce the chance of any flukes then just open the geo all the way up and set the ping to the lowest you can get ( try 20-50)

Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted November 14, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted November 14, 2016 I think they. Jus don't know. We bought the product. Now we at a loss till they figure it out. Don't think any of them will venture own IW or test this. Jus assume all cod are the same.... Oh new servers... OK we'll add them. Wait 4 hours and go outside. Please be patient with us; we're all testing this, even at home. New game launches are always a priority with us, since we're the only router in the world trying to cater for their individual differences and servers. It's a huge challenge, but it pays off when people have a great experience; when the previous CoD games were fully compatible, the results were fantastic. Infinite Warfare will be no different soon enough, as will Modern Warfare Remastered. We'll bring lag free gaming to you guys, we just need your cooperation to achieve it. I have no issues either, works ok for me..to be fair you don't need geo on as there's a dedi on uk south coast..most of the time. I'm glad you're having a good experience; I think a lot of the issues with Infinite Warfare are caused by a lack of US servers. We'll see how we can remedy that over the coming weeks.
