the only game i play is halo 5.i finally decided to get a netduma and see if the hype was real or not.well, the first couple days i noticed a night and day difference in how much better the shot registration was and how much less sluggish the game feels bug then the last 3 days it has felt horrible(heavy/sluggish/shots not registering ect).im just BAFFLED.im just making this post to see if anyone will confirm my theory that its 343 and halo 5s awful servers.NOTHING has changed on my end...ive done several network tests on my xbox one and the ping test on the netduma.tests the exact same every single time(GOOD PING, EXCEPTIONAL on jitter,EXCEPTIONAL on spikes, and NO LOSS on packet loss).even connecting to servers nearby at 35-40 ping feel AWFUL even though they felt amazing just days ago.thoughts? thank you!

Friday to Sunday, could be that the servers were getting hammered or perhaps there were other server issues.

It could also be that your internet (local area) was getting hammered over the weekend, maybe it wasn't during the week.

One weekend's bad gameplay isn't enough to go on. See if it's better during this week and then how it is next weekend.

If it's bad all week then there could be a fault or something that needs trouble-shooting.

If the pattern repeats then it's likely the server load / local area congestion.

If it's fine then the servers were just playing up this weekend.

Let us know...

If more than one of you are seeing the same thing then it's not your setup, it'll be the servers under heavy load or just a problem with the servers over this weekend.

  • Netduma Staff

For your speeds I'd recommend this setup:

- Pre-emptive Algorithm
- 70%/70% anti-flood
- Share excess enabled
- Reset device prioritisation & apply

Make sure you put your console into hyper traffic also. This could likely be a server issue though; make note of the ping you get in recent games and let us know. Is it every game or on and off?

thanks for your reply sir..i forgot to mention that NO one uses my internet.just me on my xbox one when i game and i dont stream or anything like that.i also have everything set to like you stated.the first xouple days getting the netduma the difference in shot registration and smoothness was very noticeable and then the last few days i havent had one game feel as good (shots not registering, beatdowns not registering, very heavy sluggish feel for aiming AND this is connecting to servers nearby at 35-45 ping every single game and its still horrid.im highly assuming its on 343s end and the servers...those first couple days i HAVE never felt such amazing registration on halo 5.i want that experience back lol

i factory reset the netduma and redid all the settings even though its only a week old lol...was just trying everything i could.nothing helped

I think that it is a server issue. On halowaypoint there is a thread to report that kind of issues.

in the last year i've bought two new modem, changed all cables (lan, hdmi, etc.), a new benq monitor, an elite joypad, made all tests (pingplotter, bufferbloat, speedtest, pingtest,  etc) and is all almost perfect, but the game feels sluggish, with frame drops, with orrible hit registration. My personal situation is getting worst since may after some updates...

That is a good ping so certainly shouldn't be playing badly.

Recommend the following:

~1000km radius, strict on, PA 0.

70/70 anti-flood

Console in hyper traffic.

I know the game has search preferences so try the one that allows most people and then with the duma that should filter out the bad ones.
