MTU set is wrong (WAN LAN)

Recommended Posts

With last firmware

In WAN,if i set manually MTU  (example 1492) the value is always lowest of 8 points.

But in AUTO mode is ok.....in my case 1492.

In LAN,if i set manually MTU..... any number i set the value is always 1500!

Obviously in AUTO mode is 1500.

In this mode in my lan with xbox there is two level of fragmentation

Xbox 1480 (Above 1480 xboxone read always 1480)------LAN 1500----Router/WAN 1492----Internet more and more ;-) ......this is insane for gaming ,i think.

I used www.speedguide.net/analyzer.php

and

http://www.iea-software.com/products/mtupath.cfm

Bye

you should always use auto or the default set for your isp. mtu settings should not really be anything other than your isp default!......mine is 1492.

TBH I do not think that it makes any noticeable difference. I have tried checking mtu on my network and changing things and it made no difference whatsoever.

Smarter people than me have also said the same. :)

I would always leave MTU enabled as it's not something that really needs to be changed and won't increase the quality of your gaming experience.

I agree with you. but the problem that the r1 does not my order remains. you tried? definitely not like other users
