DumaRocks
I am trying to force other servers in a different location than my regular home. I always get connected to certain servers on BO3 and they have been absolutely horrible, I am talking 80ms to 125ms for a dedi that is one state over while other games I am at 10ms to 25ms. When I move my location like I did in the screen shot, it will still connect me to the same server. You can see how it is outside of my radius, I have strict on. I did wait at least 2 minutes probably much longer and it was doing same thing yesterday. I would think, it would just show no results for matches if it couldn't connect me to another server but it doesn't it keeps sending me to a server outside of the radius on strict. I tried resetting my router several times but that didn't help.Any idea why this is happening and anyway I can force the change. *** UPDATE *** I power cycled everything, my modem, r1 router (even did a factory reset), my internet, my console, cleared the cache as well. Put my home location to the south and it is still pulling from the servers outside of the radius where I selected with strict mode on.Has COD Servers found a way around the Net Duma? Any ideas on why this is happening? I am running 1.03.6h firmware. I am not sure if that is the most updated one. Is there there something I am missing here? It should not be pulling from a dedi server outside the radius with strict mode on, isn't that correct? I added another photo to show where it is pulling from. DumaRocks
the game is terrible i dont even waste my time trying t play it anymore I agree but I am mostly trying to experiment with some stuff. I could really care less about the game itself. Just testing theories out with their server issues and if they are what I think, I might be able to squeeze a few decent games out before the new games going into 2017 release. DumaRocks
I realized I didn't have PA set to zero so I did that and now it won't connect to any server accept the one in Iowa for some reason. There are other servers that show up in that location, is there a reason it won't connect to those. It's like Treyarch/Activision basically will only allow me to utilize two specific servers and nothing else. Any ideas on why that is?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 14, 2016 PA was on that was your issue. Your radius is also a bit small, we usually recommend around 1000km. Then you should be able to move your home location around to force other servers. DumaRocks
I was trying to force a specific server. Not sure if that is possible but there is one in a particular area I wanted to see if I can connect too. I know someone south of me gets good connections on that one and is on the XB and we are about the same distance from the server but I never connect to it for some reason.A big part of this is me trying to see if there is an issue more with my ISP or the COD servers. I don't have lag issues with other games, at least no where near the amount I do with COD BO3 but getting mixed information on whether it is my ISP or COD servers. Not sure if what I am doing makes sense but just trying different things. UK_Wildcats_Fans
What specific server location are you trying to force as host? The servers that I play regularly in the south east are in Georgia (Atlanta?), Dallas and south Florida (Miami?). I occasionally get a Missouri host but that is not consistent. fuzzy clam
I would just move your home location on top of the server you want to check out and make your GF just big enough to pick up that server, set PA to 0,strict mode ticked and see what you come up with. Also would run ping plotter on your line to eliminate any ISP issues you may have.

I normally get Iowa servers but the last few weeks have been horrible. I was trying to force the souther Illinois servers just to see if those were better but for some reason, they would never let me on them. Yesterday however, Iowa servers were performing very good so maybe they fixed something. I played a lot so I have a hard time believing it was just a fluke but who knows. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2016 Hard turn off the console. Reapply the cloud. Set strict/PA 0 and location when you want it. Then boot up the console and see if you're able to force the one you want
