go to upnp, untick and save, retick and save! turn ps4 back on and you should be sorted......you may have to do the same on your modem if it has upnp on it too unless it is in modem only mode or is just a modem without router functionality!

i dont know, i always give my ps4 a static ip, always have. I just saw a vid once of a guy showing how to get an open nat on the netduma when it goes to moderate for no reason. he said flushing the upnp sorts it out! It is always a good idea to give your devices a static ip anyway :)

I got moderate nat on my ps4 for no reason at all, tried rebooting "everything" the whole works with no joy. No reason at all as to why I was getting moderate nat.

I gave it a static IP and port forwarded everything Disabled upnp. I did a tutorial on how to do it for PS4.

Never had a problem since.

Tried disabling port forwarding a couple of weeks ago and re enabling upnp, got moderate nat again and abc....... error every time I tried to join a game.

Put it back to port forwarding settings and no problems.

Might be worth giving it a go. I have found that PS4's and Black Ops settings change their minds on how shit is going to work or not more times than "Viper".

That's what i'm thinking Bagsta i've done a full reset of everything router netduma the works still moderate nat type even gave a static ip address still moderate im going test cod ghost see if i get moderate nat on that. ive  ive even put my netduma in to DMZ Mode still moderate. must be a black ops 3 issue but if i try asking activision that they will just say its down to your network they don't like blaming them selfs.

yeah it must be.......my nat is always open lately and has been for a while now, i followed the instructions in the above vid i posted and it works for me......i never use port forwarding as i once heard it makes you more vulnerable.

Or you could try the port forwarding thing, seriously it has solved so many little problems for me, Nat type, unable to join servers, connection issues, chat lobby issues. It literally takes 5 minutes to set up.

I'll give that ago next time it happens thank you Bags :) it's something to do with DemonWarePortMapping not dishing out the right ports for black ops 3 seriously so many bugs black ops 3 is

All the other cod's is different than bo3. As stated a million times bo3 only. Uses udp 3074 and nothing else. Idk why people try to compare or waste times putting in other cod ports. Wont work. 3075 won't work either.

Cod Ghosts uses port 3074 too i've just tested it now that's how i managed to get a open nat type for black ops 3 cause the port forwarding rule gets saved in Settings/UPNP in the netduma.

OK, well it worked for me and quite a few other people as well, it has been advised to use the ports in the aforementioned post by people a lot more tech savvy than me. It takes no time at all to do and appears to have helped quite a few people.

However you are entitled to your opinion as I am sure in your experience I am wrong. But in my experience and that of others it works.

Cheers :)

Setting a static IP is always a good idea just in case the IP changes, especially if you're manually port forwarding. I may have to look into UPnP not opening ports for devices if there IP changes, sounds like potentially what could have happened here.

BO3 uses more than just 3074 and I have no issues with 3074 and 3075 lots of people use both in hyper and seems to work out fine for them also... :D

IP never changes for my PS4 its always the same IP every time that's why i normally leave it to pick its own IP. :)

I tend to find having it set to just 3074 works fine but adding 3075 the ping spikes like crazy.

It's the opposite for me,runs a lot smoother for me with both.I don't know why but it does.

Another good example of everyone's network being different but I still think you guys are leaps and bounds ahead of the US in quality internet.
