n3m
Have had the net duma for over 2 month now trying everything i can ( my friend with the duma has even helped) but i cant seem to shake off lag + the fact its not retaining my settings and the spikes im getting are through the roof. I have the sliders at 70% with shared excess ticked but my connection is getting hammered everytime no matter what i try. I have unticked ipv6, i also tried a speed test which is not giving my full speeds even tho with my super hub 2 i can get my full speeds np. I have even bought a new ethernet from amazon cat 6 because i figured it could be a faulty ethernet. In rust for example i go from a lovely 32 ping to a 11k ping is like a matter of 2-3 secs. I have my super hub in modem mode with all the right settings etc. I get higher speeds in reactive but its recommended with my 50 meg to use preemptive, could i possibly have a knackered net duma? Edit: just tested my speeds with superhub2 in modem mode http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5526375470rust didnt lag or cs go. Seems to half my speeds with net duma, no matter if a tick or untick share excess- sliders- ipv6 all have made no diff.
iAmMoDBoX
Sounds like ISP problems to me, nothing to do with the netduma... Except for your speeds, it's most likely not setup right.
UK_Wildcats_Fans
What is your bandwidth? Are you on the latest firmware (1.03.6)? Assuming that you have the latest firmware, make sure that you have input the correct bandwidth into the congestion control. It should auto configure for your bandwidth. Ensure that you have cookies enabled Reactive Algorithm 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/Cat6 can handle your speeds. Do a wired speed test from a PC You can reboot the Netduma via miscellaneous settings. With cookies enabled, the settings should stay after reboot
Myst1caL
I am the friend we have ensured it's not an ISP issue. I checked his settings and they are all fine, He even replaced the cat6 provided by netduma with a new amazon basics cat6 cable to ensure it wasn't a cable issue. The problem only happens with the netduma. the duma even forgets settings inputted even with cookies enabled and the duma rebooted to force save the settings they eventually disappear. The issues have been ongoing since he purchased the duma like 1-2 months ago so if it was a minor issue with the isp it would have been sorted by now. As I said it's fine and stable without the duma
n3m
As myst1cal said i have tried everything by the book, nothing fixes it but without the duma my nets fine.
UK_Wildcats_Fans
Did you try a factory reset?
Myst1caL
Yes he factory reset the router a couple of times. He also flashed the latest firmware again incase it was bugged, I'm just replying on his behalf for quickness as he has the kid so can't reply as fast as he would like
Zennon
There was a mention of super hub so are you sure about the ISP because Virgin are notorious for high jitter? https://www.pingplotter.com/download/ Type twitter.com into target and press go Test off peak and peak times.
