smackdaddy12
No, they walked me through the test and they did not remote access my modem. This is turning into more of a headache, I have you guys saying its my ISP and then my ISP saying its the router. Dont know where to go from here. I just want good gaming experience. Personally, I would try another router if you have one available and repeat the ping and jitter tests to see if you can either rule out or identify R1 as the issue. In the end if your ISP is the problem, it will likely be an arduous uphill battle with them to identify and resolve any deficiencies that may be on their end. I would like to hear what the fix is if it is the router or at least what settings or steps could be taken to ensure that's not the issue?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 25, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 25, 2016 Try the above steps and see what you come out with then we can see for sure what the issue is. Looking at the ping plotter tests though it does point to the ISP.

As I posted before I had the same situation and the first thing I can tell you is your ISP will very rarely tell you the issue is on their end, unfortunately that's just the way the business works, acknowledging on issue means they have to fix it.The only way to tell for sure is to do what we have all suggested and run the PP tests several times a day and save it to a file,I even printed mine off and marked the overloaded nodes on my network to make it very easy to spot and identify. I know it seems like a really small detail but running PP and compiling a nice little folder will go a long way for your peace of mind in 2 ways...First you will know where the issue lies, with you or your ISP and second it's a step towards getting the issue sorted out if it is an ISP issue an if it's not an ISP issue you can plan your next step. Vileself
There is no way you get better games without the duma, you will get put into lobbies with players farther away which leads to higher ping. You might be benefiting from lag compensation but nothing else. Sorry you are having what looks to be trouble using the duma but I would advise to connect that sucker and try again. I think lag compensation is the biggest issue here. With the Netduma we can get super fast ping with nearby hosts/servers and nearly zero latency.. however the lag compensation in the game makes you pay for it. I have had this router for a year and a half and I've tried many different set ups.. the ones that give me the least amount of lag also cause me to die in the most messed up ways more often because I think the lag comp is hitting my connection which makes me feel like I'm a second behind everyone. More than likely your ISP will lie to you and tell you anything to not have to do work and improve their network... It took me 3 months of hounding at Comcast to get someone to come fix a water filled amp on the cable line that was causing problems for my entire street.
