So my contract with sky ends in around 2 weeks and I'm wanting to switch my broadband service to a different isp but I'll be keeping my TV package with them, say if I switch to TT will sky on demand still work ok,it may seem a noob question but with sky being as fussy as they are with there MER authentication I wasn't sure another provider would work when I wanna download TV shows

Thanks in advance

I can't answer for Sky but I kept my TV with Virgin Media when I dropped their internet and phone package in favour of TalkTalk.

But although Virgin TV appears to come into the house on the same cable, it doesn't seem to be authenticated by the hub so it could be a completely different story with Sky.

If you are meaning Sky go on a device then that should work.

my mums had sky for years and has had many different isp's and no issues

of course, Sky is satellite anyway! I doubt the hub authenticates that at all

also you can actually use most of sky's features with the phoneline disconected

All I want to know is will I be able to use the catch up feature to download TV shows and box sets,my concern was sky's MER authentication how they insist you use there hub and theres only,I didn't want to get myself a new isp and find out that I can no longer download TV episodes off sky's service because I'm no longer using there broadband because the Mrs will literally go ballistic
