Crashoverride
Now I know I need a firmware update and there's only 1 way to do this.. but.. is there something else I can do on my end to help? I'm kinda tired of not being able to use any of the Netduma's functions to control the lag. The pulsating bars and the 1 bar lag is slowly driving me nuts. Lol.. thank you
major masingil
Now I know I need a firmware update and there's only 1 way to do this.. but.. is there something else I can do on my end to help? I'm kinda tired of not being able to use any of the Netduma's functions to control the lag. The pulsating bars and the 1 bar lag is slowly driving me nuts. Lol.. thank you Follow the instructions on this link and Netduma will help get you updated. If you're currently on the version that ends in .5 you can upgrade it on your own. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/11018-major-netduma-upgrade-now-available-v-1036/
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 16, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 16, 2016 Can you hard refresh the page, ensure you're on the default profile and factory reset from misc settings please to see if that helps.
Crashoverride
Sure I will give that a shot. From all the other Internet connected devices I'm still showing running firmware 1.03.3 I will try doing what your asking again. I don't use my computer very often but that's what I used to do a factory reset and change my theme. Thank you for the help. I know we'll get it working smooth again eventually. Did you do what ever you needed to do to allow me to upgrade the firmware?

Crashoverride
I don't even want to play. The lag is worse now then ever.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 24, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 24, 2016 We weren't able to access it. Can you make sure R1 is in DMZ of ISP hub, disable UPnP & port forwarding on hub and remote support is definitely ticked on the duma.
Crashoverride
No clue on what your saying. Lol. My Duma is also connect to my internet providers router and the dumas ip is in the dmz in that other router. I tried to disable the upnp but it just keeps going back to the way it was. Port forwarding I think is disabled but I'm not sure. The remote support box has a green check.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 25, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 25, 2016 The Duma WAN IP from device manager is in the DMZ? Do you have the option to put it in modem mode?
Crashoverride
Yes it is. I can click the modem mode which puts me into my internet providers router menu.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 27, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 27, 2016 We just tried again and weren't able to access it. Please put it in modem mode and we'll try again.
Crashoverride
I will ASAP. I will leave another comment when I get it done. Thanks for the help.
Crashoverride
Ok, i think it's in "modem mode" or transparent bridging. That's what my router says. But now I'm completely offline.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted June 28, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 28, 2016 Do you get internet through the modem? Otherwise you won't be able to access the router. Set it back to the way it was when you had internet access. If you do get internet access through it when it's in modem mode, then set it up that way again tomorrow and we'll check it. If that doesn't work, we'll have to arrange a 1 on 1 to help you further.
Crashoverride
Well I can't get my providers router to get back online. I've been on hold with them for over an hour. I told them what I did and they say now all my menu options and Internet access is now only through the netduma. But now I have no access to the Netduma's menu. Honestly this is getting more frustrating then it's worth.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted June 28, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 28, 2016 Unplug the Netduma. Plug a PC directly into the Modem, and try to access the interface. Once there, disable Modem mode, and connect the Netduma back to it. You should have Internet access after this. If not, Fraser will arrange a 1 on 1 with you to fix the issue. If you can't access the Modem after directly connecting a PC to it, do a factory reset on the Modem.
Crashoverride
Now here's the part I don't understand. I used 2 of my internet providers routers. Both have been put in the transparent bridging or modem mode. But I have no access to the netduma. I get. "This site can not be reached" when I put in 192.168.88.1 and I also have no Internet because the netduma is now my primary router. I hope there is something you can do on your end cause from here I'm screwed.
Crashoverride
Is there a way to factory reset the netduma without being able to use the netduma menu?
Crashoverride
Guess the term is "bricked" I've found a few comments with issues the same or close to mine but the comments just abruptly stop. Any more suggestions on this unconnected netduma?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 29, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 29, 2016 Judging from Twitter it sounds like you're up and running now? Will check your router today.
