Victor-Yout
hello, is it possible that somehow the netduma is working like a bridge and procresses gaming packets or however you want to kill it, not by itself but just sending it to the main router/modem? i know its a weird question, but i'm so done with the connection in bo3. i have the netduma now for 6-7 month and i still know my first game with it and it was wooow. i instantly noticed that enemies weren't ahead of me and the hit detection was awsome. but now for me it feels like i am not playing with the router anymore. i say this because i know, how the connection feels like, when the duma works. i get instakilled, my hit detection isn't good and people see me before i can see them. i still play on the two dedi. servers like on the first time i got the router, they are within 200 km from my home and giving me 19 ms ping. thats why i am asking , i am just frustrated after trying so many things out. my setting: Fritzbox 7490(modem/router)-netduma-all devices 14ms ping; 100 mb down; 40 up
ColonicBoom
Sorry, I'm still not quite sure what you're asking. Do you want the Netduma to act as an access point while the Fritzbox does the routing? Have you got the Fritzbox in 'modem mode' so that the Fritz wifi is disabled and all routing is done by the Netduma? Maybe post your the first part (the question) in German too, just in case it's getting lost in translation. Please don't take offence, I only speak very basic German (but nothing technical I'm afraid). I'm sure someone in here will be able to help though. ColonicBoom
I've got to go to bed mate, I'll look in tomorrow and see how you're getting on. Hopefully my internet will be back online by then...
Victor-Yout
sorry its hard to explain the fritzbox as no modem mode but wifi is disabled and all devices are connected to the netduma. question in german: könnte es sein, durch ein fehler beim updaten der firmware oder irgendwie anders, dass der netduma als eine art bridge arbeitet und die gaming pakete nicht vom netduma verarbeitet werden ,sondern direkt zur fritzbox weiterleitet und dort die pakete versendet und empfangen werden? ColonicBoom
I've got my internet back !!! I think I understand now... I'm not technically minded enough to answer this myself but Fraser and some of the others will certainly be able to advise. So, all was good playing BO3 for several months with the Netduma... But since the firmware update things now feel like they did before you had the Netduma. And the question: "Could it be due to an error when updating the firmware (or some other cause), that the Netduma has started working as a kind of 'bridge', where the game's data packets are then not being processed by the Netduma but are being forwarded directly to the Fritz box where it (the Fritz box) then decides on which packets it will send and receive / how it will send and receive the packets?" I think that's about it. Lads, do your thing!
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted May 13, 2016 The duma does all the routing of the packets if the devices are connected to it. Never really had that question before haha. If you're getting a low ping rest assured the duma is doing it's job. Ensure you're using anti-flood 70/70 & hyper traffic for console as well. Also try connecting to other servers, just move your home as other servers may play better for you.
